[Federation Outskirts, 9/8/80] Little more than a month after the attack on the Cantenia, the E.S.S Turlocke was attacked. The Turlocke was civilian yacht on a tour of the outer planets of a recently colonized system, when suddenly the engine exploded. The ship was left immobilized and sent out a distress call into the void. Three Eusan corvettes picked up the call while on patrol. [The Mission Begins] The corvettes begin approaching the source of the call to aid the drifting ship, tow cables at the ready. The yacht is latched, and the burn back to the shipyard begins. Shortly after the beginning of the burn, however, Eusan radars flare up. Slugs. Before the E.S.S Name can even react, a railgun shell punches straight through its hull. Despite the front of the ship being inoperable, it swivels PDCs to fire at incoming torpedoes. The other corvettes follow suit. Dozens of torpedoes fly towards the corvettes, which desperately try to shoot them down as fast as they arrive. One torpedo hits them where they'd least expect it. Glass shards and shredded metal fragments fly into the void as a torpedo strikes the observation deck of the yacht. Sensors flare up again. VLS missiles, over a hundred. Eusan PDCs quickly become overwhelmed, and relentless missile and torpedo barrages rend the ships apart. The Ruk attackers flee the scene and leave the system, unscathed.
