୭ ˚. ──────── [ dtae ] - helloo!! this is my entryyy i hope it's not late agrhh - im actually really pleased with this what?!?! even if i don't get the char im so happy i entered, i learnt a lot doing this (time management, new ibispaintx tricks lol...) ──── [ the art ] - i basically just used the lasso tool but welp it was so hard to start off with </33 i think i got better eventually (?!) - i tried a mix of blended edges and harsh lines so.. i hope it worked out okay lmao - im so pleased with the background. you guys are prolly like what thats so easy but please i SUCK at any type of background so im very happy with this thnakyou - i love this character so much?? theyre so fun to drawwwwauugh - took me 4/5 hours?? ibispaint says it took me 46 hours LMAO it did not i promise - overall im really proud of this <3 i was going to add mroe drawings but i lowk ran out of time sighhh... - help little bonus i drew this while watching yellowjackets s3...... misty final girl [ backstory ] i love this part name: runo ephron - meaning: poem, fawn-like age: they don't age in years, rather, they base their age off of phases of wisdom they've gone through (they're like late teens, early 20s) gender: unspecified (gender, for members of the coven, is something abstract and unable to be labelled) sexuality: unlabelled (same as above) family: abandoned as a child, runo was raised by the coven likes: tea (lol), music, performing, taking risks, getting lost, old things dislikes: telling the truth, sticking to rules, staying in one place for too long more details: - covens are mystical gatherings of people that have existed for centuries. legend has it, they posess otherworldly attributes such as enhanced hearing, intelligence, unusual healing abilities, and are often perceived as masters of manipulation and deceit, with only a few lucky people aware of their true faces. - coven members are often in disguises when they venture in public (which is rare, more on that later) and so the villagers say, they possess 'multiple skins' so you never truly know if they are who you think they are - because of their unsual musical/storytelling abilities, the coven will often appear/make themselves known at village festivities, such as the summer solstice festival. this is a huge deal for members of the public, as the coven very rarely show themselves, and are often hidden for extended periods of time - runo is one of the few who likes to attend these soltice events and perform. (the coven's job is usually to put on a show for the public; not that they are in any way tied to this role of performers, as they act for themselves only. if they wanted to, they could leave and head somewhere else, but it entertains them to put on these displays for the public every year or so.) - runo loves to perform more than most, and with their curious nature, he often sneaks out of where the coven are based (imagine a church-style building but more overgrown, found in secluded areas such as deep in forests or mountains. the coven disguise their dwelling so as not to go noticed by any villagers who manage to venture this far out) and into town square to engage with locals. they often disguise themselves, putting on a different skin each outing, although he is incredibly reckless and is prone to forgetting. - runo is charmed by the normality of village life, and as they weren't born into coven life, rather they were adopted by the coven (unusual, but not unheard of) he likes to imagine how life might be had he not been taken in by them - after one reckless outing, runo became especially infatuated with a villager in the market. (i didn't draw them sadly as i didn't have time, but i definitely will in the future if i get the char!! for the time being i'll describe her) as though she were made of flower petals, their skin was pale and delicate, with almost as equally white hair falling down her back, messily tied with blue ribbon. they helped out selling bread and other pastries, nothing out of the ordinary; but it was how beautiful they looked, with their rose-pink eyes and fragile fingers that drew runo in. soon, they were finding more and more ways to sneak out and see this person, working up the courage to talk to them. (more on their story later lol) - the coven are practically one big family. (not that there aren't relationships in the coven, more like they're all super close) runo was raised by one woman in particular, who takes an uncanny likeness to a crow theres more but i need to get this posted LOL ──── - okay im a bit worried i yapped for too long lol i hope thats okay - please note that the storyline there is loosely linked to a book i'm writing, and i thought it might be nice to have an au that includes this character. it is my work. do not steal it or take heavy inspiration from it. it is my intellectual property. - i love this so much im getting so invested!! - tysm for the extension <3 song: pretend by alex g
