The Communist States of America view the British actions in the Carolinas as a direct attack on the identity of America itself. Effective immediately, a total embargo is placed on the 3rd Commonwealth of Great Britain. All incoming civilian flights are canceled. All British assets within CSA borders are frozen. "Down with the traitors, up with the stars!" With the threat right at our doorstep, the Ministry of Defense has officially authorized immediate remilitarization. The Armed Forces are expanding total active-duty personnel across all branches to 1 million active troops, backed by up to 1.5 million reservists. We utilize massive propaganda and recruiting efforts in order to muster the whole of the American populace against the invader. (Expected to take like 5 months to reach full strength, though) Simultaneously, a sweeping industrialization initiative begins today. State-of-the-art foundries are opening across the nation, creating thousands of new factory jobs for our citizens and rapidly scaling the production of both civilian goods and domestic military equipment. (We're using a portion of our GDP and some of the gold (1-1.5%) from Fort Knox to help fund these efforts. We call upon all American states and our Internationale allies to form a united front against this blatant violation of America's freedom.
