(I apologise for how lazy this project is, I have hardly slept recently so I'm pretty demotivated- also as usual I will try not to powerplay, so let me know if I have accidentally powerplayed) 31st October 2404. Xenthia by now is already a militarised society due to several wars, so the population is ready for this. Many partisans take up arms and rebel from the Gems, making it hard for the Gems to consolidate territories. Xenthia actually stabilises due to the huge common enemy of everyone in it. The unmanned self-replicating spacecraft are being sent out to fight the Gems, lowering casualties a little and allowing Xenthia to not get outnumbered so easily. At peak, 2,000 are produced a day. This is made easier by the galactic centre's abundant resource supply, and this sort of automated production means that Xenthia is free to conscript even more people, reaching a total of around 500 billion. As for the rest of the fleet, it has disembarked on an offensive to drive the overextended Gems out. The million ships in the north reunifying the Borg change targets and attack the Gems, while further south most of the rest of the force protects the most important areas, that being Cerus's neighbourhood and the galactic centre. The Xenthian ships are hard to hit, due to small size and large number. Sagittarius A* is being used as a weapon now, with the black hole power plant there being used to power lasers to destroy the Gems' FTL missiles. New defences are being built to slow the advance of the Gems, but also old defences are being used too, such as the old Concord defence lines. To prevent plague spreading to Xenthia, the mass production of microscopic robots that act to boost the immune system and destroy viruses has started. Xenthia has reverse-engineered technology a lot now, so the reverse-engineering of any captured Gem technology is in progress. (I forgor to add that the Alpine Federation is also doing it's bit to protect earth with the laser satellites, which are also shortly to become self-replicating) adytum music Credit to @Marica_games and others
