This is the monthly siren test of Forest County, which happens on the first Saturday of every month at 1:00. The contest is actually over! For a while, I actually didn't think that it would actually ever end. (Now I wish I has more entries lol) Name: Federal Signal 500-SH Chopper port: 12 or 8 Alert time: 31 secs. Pole height: around 15 ft. Other sirens heard: None Decibel output: 122db. at 100ft. Location: Close to the downtown area near the water tower. Cool facts: This is actually a 1st generation FS 500. The 2nd generation 500s have a longer motor housing and a smoothed out and longer horn. This is one of Forest County's earliest sirens!
