About three years ago, I jokingly asked @Zevo if I could submit a part for his Zevo-Verse collaboration. To my surprise, he said yes. The result of my subsequent procrastination and delays was possibly my most ambitious single project to date; a Late August-inspired half tribute, half music video detailing and interrogating the question about Zevo's character that fascinated me the most: what if Zevo was forced to grow up? what followed was this--dubbed "Paper Zevo" by both @Zevo and the fandom at large, my attempt to answer that question. This project also features a deleted scene that didn't make the final cut in Zevo's Zevo-Verse collab to optimize the project length(curses!). To capture the scenes I imposed hand-drawn characters on top of photos of my backyard. I had it shelved for the three subsequent years, ready to let that deleted scene rot...until now. I've grown up aswell, and had to grapple with the question as it applies to me, so revisiting this old project, I found that the wisdom of my younger self was sufficient to help me get through the nightmare of being an adult. Like Jessica, I've graduated, and I'm well off on my way to being a grown-up. Such is the fate of these characters, in my opinion, as is the fate of us all. It's also been 15 years of Zevo's existence, and with Zevo The Stickman presumably at an end, I figured it would nice to pay tribute to the series that changed my life for the better. I figured it was high time I pay back to this beautiful show--so here I go. Thank you @Zevo and ZTS Productions, for everything. The friends I made as a result of Paper Zevo are everything to me, and I'm grateful for them every day. So one last time, in the name of Zevo The Stickman...scratch on! #animations #stories #art
