IMPORTANT: Keep clicking until you get to the slide that says "I think that's all lol--" You might think you're done, but there's still more until you see that slide! Okay so-- I know this isn't exactly what you asked for, but the only recent example I could find of my dragon art was the Poison Jungle cover I drew-- So I included some doodles basically explaining how I draw dragons. I hope that's okay-- Notes: --On "dragon color guide", color 3 is highlighted in black. This isn't important or anything, I just did that because it was a light color and was hard to see on the white background. --"Head plate" just refers to the darker scales on the top of the head. Same goes for "leg plates." I just couldn't think of a better way to describe it. --My dragon style is kind of a balance between elegant and cute. --I always draw dragons with really big ears because it's adorable!! --My dragons usually have sharp, angular snouts (though there are some exceptions, such as baby dragons and SeaWings, which have rounder snouts), and a jutting forehead. Because it looks cool. --When I draw dragons, the colors usually go like this (from darkest to lightest): color 4 > color 2 > color 1 > color 3 This is just a guideline though!! It's absolutely NOT mandatory-- The colors can be any shade, that's just how I USUALLY do it. Usually. NOT all the time. :P --How I described the way I draw mammal ears might have been a bit confusing-- Sorry about that! To put it (not-so-)simply, I just usually like to have the inner ear, outer ear, and fluff all be different colors. It doesn't necessarily have to stick exactly to how it's described in the little diagram I drew, that's just kind of a guideline for how I draw them on characters with EXACTLY 3 colors. If they have more colors (like on Raven, for example) I usually just pick and choose any of the colors in the palette that look good. Sorry if that's confusing-- I'm not very good at explaining-- Also sorry the dragon fullbody example doesn't look fantastic-- My drawing juices are starting to run out because sOmEbOdY made me draw fullbodies of EVERY CHARACTER IN PROJECT SEKAI-- /lh *ahem* I uh, I mean, I'm tired from drawing a lot this past weekend And I also drew it in the Scratch paint editor so Anyway Butcher my art style as much as you like haha, I've been meaning to make some changes to it anyway so your feedback will certainly help!
