"ohhh~" he shoves his phone into his pocket, running from the practice studio. he'd completely forgotten about the time. he'd checked the weather forecast this morning, noting that there would be a thunderstorm but he'd forgotten. groaning as he made his way through the busy streets of seoul, he hid his face in his hoodie as people began to notice the idol among them. some fans approach him while he walks and he brushes them off quickly. his phone buzzes repeatedly and he pulls it out. y/n: junnie y/n: where are you? y/n: istg- where are you? y/n: junie? i'm getting scared here! yeonjun gets to the door front door and fumbles with the keys, his hands working fast to unlock the door. "baby?" (imagine- just imagine yeonjun calling you baby) he calls. he notices a faint light in his bedroom so he pushes open the door. you're swaddled up in his blanket, noise-cancelling earphones on, staring fixatedly at your laptop. he can hear the sound of his + the other member's voices blasting from the headphones. "baby?" he says, pulling the headphones off your head. you look up, surprised before you bury your face into his shirt. "were you trying to lose your hearing?" he asks jokingly. you pause the video on your laptop, shaking your head with a small laugh. "no~ if i can't hear the thunder or see it i don't get nervous." you explain. yeonjun nods then presses a kiss to the top of your head. "but i'm here now, there's no need to be scared- your junnie will fight off all the thunder for you, okay?" he said. you smile at him, nodding. ✎---------------------------------------------------------------------- Soobin you laughed as he took a bite into a pastry. a rumble of thunder sounded in the distance but you were too distracted to notice. "bin~" you grab a tissue to wipe the cream off his nose. he smiles (ahhhh~ soobin's adorable smile) holding out the pastry towards you. you manoeuvre your mouth, somehow managing to get cream all over your lips. soobin bursts into laughter. "how cute you are, jagi." he reaches to brush a gentle thumb over your lips. the lights flicker and your shriek, the sound mirrored by soobin. the lights blackout and you shriek again as thunder rumbles. you feel as if the ground is shaking underneath you as you reach blindly in the darkness. "b-bin?" you whisper shakily. your hands feel nothing but air and space. "i'm right here, jagi, i'm right here." soobin's voice is also shaky, but you can tell he's trying to be strong for you. a hand brushes yours and you squeak in surprise before realising who it is. you lace your finger with his, relieved when he pulls you to his chest. you melt at his familiar touch, jumping as thunder rumbles again. "hey- hey, jagi, listen to me okay? just take deep breaths in and out~" soobin says. you can feel his chest as he breathes and you press your ear against his chest, feeling your heartbeat calm as his beats. the lights flicker back on and you breathe a sigh of relief, pulling gently away from soobin as you see the mess of pastry on the floor. soobin's fingers don't unlace with yours as he helps you too clean up. "did i mention i dropped the pastry when the lights blacked out?" he said sheepishly. ✎---------------------------------------------------------------------- Beomgyu "wait- no~" you squeal as you maneuvered your kart onscreen towards the finish line. "hah- beat you again!" beomgyu crows, elbowing you in the side gently. you wrinkle your nose. "don't rub it innnnn~" you whine. "why not, pabo?" he sticks his tongue out at you. "REMATCH-" you yell. beomgyu shakes his head. "nope." "you're just scared that i'll finally beat you!" you tease. "NO!" beomgyu denies, shaking his head quickly. "We can do a rematch!" thunder sounds in the background and you squeak, grabbing beomgyu's hand. beomgyu raises an eyebrow. "scaredy cat-" he says, rubbing his thumb against the back of your hand. you both turn back to the game of mario kart and you begin to cheer as you inch ahead of him, forgetting about the storm outside. the tv flickers and so do the lights overhead. you and beomgyu barely notice, hyperfocused on the game. suddenly you hear a smash and the lights blackout. the controller drops from your hands as a rumble of thunder sounds. a small quiet whimper escapes your mouth. "g-gyu?" you hiss. there is no reply. a hand rests on your shoulder and you shriek. "PABO! it's just me!" beomgyu's arms wrap (+)
