i'm leaving scratch for more professional game making software (including raw javascript web development). why? multiple reasons. here's why Scratch wasn't good enough for me: - it is made for kids so it has excessive limitations on EVEN GAME MAKING (including but not limited to 480p display, 30fps, and weird bans on certain website bans) (absurd) - the moderation algorithm on scratch is just so messed up BECAUSE of the fact it's made for kids. here's why i enjoy the more complex programming languages: - they don't limit your coding abilities - they are much faster and powerful. - you can download them (shocker) - if i decide to want to make money using game development in the future, scratch will be far from reliable for obvious reasons here's why i have a chance of making 1 last game for scratch like 5 years later or something: - ease of coding in case i forgot my other languages - github is a confusing thing to master so yeah, do not expect me to come back to scratch for game developing unless it is a collab or something. if scratch team decides to IP ban me, i genuinely don't care anymore lmao
