Please read both Instructions + N+C for all litter rules before creating a litter. GENERAL LITTER RULES --- - ONCE A LITTER YOU HOST IS COMPLETE, YOU HAVE TO REGISTER THAT LITTER WITH THE BIO PROJECT. DO NOT SKIP THIS AS IT WILL MEAN THE KITS YOU CREATE WONT AGE OR GAIN APT and PLEASE remove it from the open litter hub :D Make sure to alert your applicants that they've been registered! - If you are including a kit with a disability in your litter, you MUST read the disability representation rule project. - your litter MUST contain the clan of the litter and the type of the litter (fcfs, s, etc.) in the THUMBNAIL in a readable text and font size,, most preferably with images or doodles of the kits as well, as well as explicitly stating this in the title and/or desc. - Must be your own art, or a f2u base. (You can also ask somebody to make it for you) The artist of the base should be stated. If you don't know the artist, use a different base. If there is a watermark, you're not permitted to remove it unless the artist themself permits you. - One litter may contain 1-6 kits. Donated litters can only have 1-4 kits. - The project needs to be mobile friendly. This means mobile users can switch between kits in the litter. - Kits need to have realistic colors. No neon green kits, for example. - You must have a form for applicants to fill out, regardless of the type of the litter. The form MUST include a section for disabilities/disorders + their research-- as people can also list these when applying. An example is as follows, but can be changed and edited: "Character // Personality // Gender // Sexuality // Any Disabilities/Disorders? + Research // Extra Info" * for loner/kittypet litters, please include a section asking about previous characters, as only players who have roleplayed a clan cat in the past may enter a loner/kittypet litter. please read the loner or kittypet guide for more info. - YOU CAN'T PREVENT PEOPLES CHARACTERS FROM BEING TRANS OR LGBTQIA IN GENERAL? HELLO? OBVIOUSLY? this should not have to be stated what is wrong with some of y'all we are a very safe environment for queer identities and if that's not chill with you please leave. - If you don't want to accept somebodies application - tell them. Rejecting people sucks, but at least then they can know they were rejected and try with another litter. Reject them //nicely//. - When a kit is accepted, they are one moon old and are free to roleplay, but cannot die or earn aptitude until the litter is completely filled. I'd recommend explaining this system to them if you accept them. - Kit names cannot be shared with other living kits in the same clan. So, there can't be two "Firekit"s in MossClan at the same time, but there can be a "Firekit" and a "Firepaw" in the same clan. I am not responsible for checking, you are. - Must include a link back to the open litter hub. - Litter rules along the lines of "Don't let these kits die until they're warriors!" are not allowed. Once you give away kits in a litter they are no longer your character and people may do whatever they like with these characters. Sometimes kits die. Sometimes lineages don't continue. It's okay. This happening should not be shamed or punished. - You may only host one litter at a time. - Selective litter deadlines may only be two weeks in the future. You don't need to FILL a litter in two weeks, but for non-fcfs litters we just don't have space in the litter hub to allow litters with long deadlines. Once a litter has gone past two weeks, you have to change the typing to fcfs, ss, r, o, etc. - Litters must be closed after 1 month with the kits they have even if not completely full. Unused kits may be kept by the designer and reused for later litters or other. - You may not claim your own kit or a design you drew. You can, however, collab with other artists to draw a design you describe, as long as you aren't hosting the litter. - Preclaims aren't allowed. Applications may only be received after a litter mod has approved the litter. -- If a design was created FOR somebody, you can mark it as reserved. They still must submit an application once litter is approved. But once the designs are shared publicly, no applicants can be taken until approval. -- a litter may not be entirely reserved kits -- you can open pinglists for when a litter opens, as long as pings are vague without expressing interest in any kit over the other. cont. in n+c
LITTER TYPES: [S] (Selective) - you can apply but it's up to the creator to decide if you get the part. semi-selective litters, despite their name, are purely selective and are an unofficial subsection of this category. [FCFS] (First Come First Serve) - all you have to do is fill out a form correctly and you'll get the kit (if you applied first) [R] (Random) - you can apply, but it'll be decided by luck whether you get the kit or not. (raffles, just pure randomness, etc. ) [O] (Other) - any other systems for litter projects. mostly contests. (dtas, otas, etc.) NAMING RULES: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1143529280/ PARENTING A LITTER (Your character fosters, adopts, or biologically parents a litter) --- - These types can be made at almost any point, even if other litters are closed. They may be any type. - Your character does NOT need to have a mate. The mate can be an NPC, you can say the litter was found outside camp and your character adopted them or chose to foster them, etc. - One character may have a maximum of 3 litters, this INCLUDES adopted litters. - Kits and Apprentices may not have litters. Elders may adopt or foster a litter, but it isn't recommended. - If the litter is biological, consider having the kits genetically make some sense. (So, if both parents are ginger tabbies, it wouldn't make sense for the kit to be randomly blue-gray) Not required though! - Characters can only have litters if all parents involved are 14 moons for adoption, or 16 moons for a biological - If biological, and either parent dies, the litter must be closed within a week. - If adopted, fostered, etc. and all parents die, the litter must be closed within a week.
