After the art process ends, you can click to zoom in. ⋇⋆ Artist's Note ⋆⋇ So hiiii! :D I think this is my first art process since the beginning of March, so it has been a while. XD I watched Arcane for the first time about a week or two ago (thanks to Luna's pestering :P) and I LOVED IT SO MUCH, so when I was pondering what else to draw for my first session of SAC (October '22), I got the idea to draw Vi, one of my favorite characters from the series. Over the past few weeks, I have been experimenting with drawing people, and during the process of drawing Vi, I learned a lot more about how to draw people. I experimented with shading and lighting techniques, and used references to try to copy realistic-ish shading. I also tried a different method of drawing eyes, thanks to Luna's suggestion that I make them more almond-like, (which was originally a tip from Bakie). Before, I would usually shade by using multiply layers, but this time, I experimented with simply using the watercolor brush on a normal layer. I feel that it turned out much better than it usually does, and I'll try to keep using this technique in the future! :D The background is mostly the result of me running blurry watercolor brushes over a dark Zaun-ish green backdrop, and I think that I did ok with that. :) So yeah! :D I can't think of anything else to say here, but I'm rather pleased with how everything turned out. :) I hope to do more art like this in the future, and maybe post a few more arcane character art processes.
