Spongebob Squarepants: Supersponge 2 for the N64 is a game where you play as Spongebob and have to stop the Squidward apparition. The game starts with Spongebob waking up from a dream, where he was being chased by a giant Squidward. He then realizes that it was just a dream and goes back to sleep. Later, Spongebob is awoken by Patrick, who tells him that Squidward is up to something sinister. Spongebob then goes to investigate and discovers that Squidward has created an apparition of himself. Spongebob then must stop the Squidward apparition from causing havoc. The game is a platformer and has Spongebob using his sponge powers to stop the Squidward apparition. The game is split into four levels, each with their own challenges. The first level has Spongebob platforming his way across Bikini Bottom to reach Squidward. The second level has Spongebob using his sponge powers to clean up a mess that Squidward has made. The third level has Spongebob using his sponge powers to stop a giant Squidward from destroying Bikini Bottom. The fourth and final level has Spongebob using his sponge powers to reach Squidward, and destroy him.
