This is the interior of the new Düsseldorf HF6 trains. They were ordered to replace the epic Düwag GT8SU trains, built from 1973-'75. The HF6's had massive problems before entering service, especially with the doors and doorsteps. Now, the HF6's are finally in service and I already managed to ride one. The riding comfort is so much better than on the GT8SUs, but the new trains aren't that characterful. If you're wondering, the red things in front of the doors are folding steps for the low platforms.
