ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ hey stuff1e fans! ೄྀ࿐ ˊˎ- remember when I shared "packing for Milwaukee?" ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* well I'm back ... ۰ ۪۪۫۫ ·۰ ۪۪۫۫ ·۰ ۪۪۫۫ · with tonsssss of cool pics! The domes are called the Mitchell Park Domes and they have 100+ years of history. In the 1800s, the property became a park and soon, plans were being made to make it into a beautiful, flower -filled horticultural destination in Milwaukee. There was a boating lake and many trees. In 1898, a glass conservatory was built and was 9,101 square feet. Huge! "Inside the conservatory visitors could explore year-round collections of palms and orchids as well as seasonal flower shows," says the official website. 1955 arrived and a contest was held for architects to design a new look for the park. Donald L Greib's conoidal glass dome idea won, and construction lasted 8 years, costing a $4.5 billion, well spent.
