This project is a recreation of the popular TV game show "Wheel of Fortune", where contestants spin a wheel and guess letters to solve a puzzle. This project provides the spinner and keeps track of contestants' money. We recommend using this project alongside the official Wheel of Fortune board game: https://shopwheeloffortune.com/products/wheel-of-fortune-board-game?srsltid=AfmBOorbmHet5-EfD8TQvEZPKHlpfqAIEUj8msQ45dIVADsQ5kyupHG6U0k Features: - 4 OFFICIAL modern wheel designs (from the show), plus 1 unofficial design - Player HUDs to keep track of each contestant's money - Buying vowels - Wheel of Fortune soundtrack How to use: - Press the center of the wheel to spin it - Click on a player's HUD to make it that player's turn - Click the top-right dropdown to change the wheel design Rules of Wheel of Fortune: Wheel of Fortune is normally played with 4 players (although it can be played with 3 players). One player is selected to be the host (Pat Sajak/Ryan Seacrest), and the other players are contestants. First, the host selects a puzzle and reveals the category to the contestants. Then, determine a first player and have that player spin the wheel. When it lands on a value (assuming it isn't Lose a Turn or Bankrupt), the contestant calls out a CONSONANT letter, and the host reveals any instances of that letter in the puzzle. The contestant receives the amount shown on the wedge for each revealed letter. If that letter was not in the puzzle, the contestant gets no money and turn passes to the next player. When a contestant thinks they know the puzzle and it is their turn, they may attempt to solve the puzzle. If they are correct, they win the round and receive the money collected during the round. If they are incorrect, then turn passes to the next player. Buying vowels: On a player's turn, they may choose to, instead of spinning the wheel, spend $250 to guess a VOWEL (a contestant may not buy a vowel if they have under $250). They do not win any money if vowels are revealed, but if that vowel is not present in the puzzle, turn passes to the next player. Lose a Turn: If a contestant lands on the "Lose a Turn" wedge, turn immediately passes to the next player. Bankrupt: If a contestant lands on the "Bankrupt" wedge, they lose all their money and turn immediately passes to the next player. Million Dollar Wedge: If a contestant lands on the "Million Dollar" wedge and guesses a letter correctly, they receive the Million Dollar Wedge. In the actual game, this gives the contestant a chance to win $1 million should they advance to the bonus round, but it doesn't serve a role in this project (just bragging rights). Mystery Wedge: If a contestant lands on the "Mystery" wedge and guesses a letter correctly, they can choose to receive $1,000 per letter revealed, or take a 50/50 chance for either $10,000 or bankrupt. Express Wedge: If a contestant lands on the "Express" wedge and guesses a letter correctly, they can choose to "ride the express train". This means that they will guess letters and receive $1,000 per letter, or buy vowels, until they either solve the puzzle or miss a letter (at which point they go bankrupt and turn passes to the next player).
