One of the best pictures I've ever taken, is actually a picture of my hometown, Earth. Our planet, has been photographed many times. And often, remind us, how small we are. In the images taken by the crew of Apollo 8, Voyager 1, Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, myself, and many others, all show Earth as a tiny pale blue dot, within the vastness of space. What about us, who are many times smaller than Earth?
The first image shows Saturn blocking the sun. Earth located to the right of Saturn, in this image. It's not very clear. Click "2" to display an enlarged image, showing Earth. Click "1" to change the photo back. This photo itself is named "The day the Earth smiled"
