The 'Artemis' class Type 2 support ship is a diesel powered vessel designed to carry, refuel and rearm submarines in all theatres. It does not feature jets, instead opting for a marine diesel-electric drive, which offers greater torque at all speeds over long distances. Note: the split hull and smaller crew gantry.
