This project aims to show how I drew Steven the bug with dots and lines using the pen coding blocks. You can check out the moving, star eating, non transparent version here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/411103375/
A list is used to show which body part is drawn. Steven the bug is a creation of the ScratchEd Team of Harvard. Reflection The Scratch Team introduced pen transparency a couple of years ago. I used it once. It was fun, but it was a bit complicated to use. During Getting Unstuck I had a discussion with @jilly100 about colour picking and pen colours and I showed her my pen transparency project of a couple of years ago. Then I noticed that Scratch 3.0 had a new block that I didn't notice before. With this new block using pen transparency became versie easy. I thought about how I could use it in a Getting Unstuck project. And after a few people were surprised Steven the bug was drawn with the pen blocks in my Day 8 project, I thought it might be interesting to make a slow drawing using the transparency pen block for the body to show how dots and lines are used for the drawing. I added a list for drawing the legs, which shortens my code. I thought about doing that yesterday, but I didn't do it until I saw todays prompt. I didn't want to add much text today, but using a list to show which part is drawn at a certain moment was a nice addition in my opinion.
