Hi there! This is my MAP Part for the Rise Up Parkland Support MAP. On Wednesday, February 14, 2018, evil met the souls of innocent students and teachers at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. A young man had a gun and opened fire, taking the lives of 17 people, and leaving many more injured, both physically and mentally. There have been far too many shootings, and it needs to be stopped. We must fight and be resilient. We must fight laws that tell people in our society that semi-automatic weapons, AR-15s and other weapons used solely for killing a large number of people is okay. --@Ageren What compels people to do this? Why do people take advantage of the 2nd Amendment? What do they have to gain from it? Prison? Guilt? Sadness? Most of all, why do they think that it is okay to take a gun and decide to kill innocent people who still haven't graduated High School and College? People who have so much to live for, so much to look forward to, and yet people decide it's okay to take it all away from them? You are never in control of someone else's life. So please stop acting like you are let them live their life. -@wWSunPandaWw . . . . To Ageren: Thanks for letting me in this MAP! I had a nice time making my part and my Thumbnail Entry! There are 17 flowers in the bouquets, each for a life lost. All of the flowers have symbolism as well, like Love, Remembrance, and my favorite, I Surmount All Difficulties. In the thumbnail, I put in Black candles for Mourning, Blue for Sadness, Red for pain (I guess...) and White for Hope. I also put in a ripped Graduation Cap to show all that the lives lost had yet to accomplish but never could. If there's anything you'd like me to change, please ask and i'd be more than happy to :)
