I am going to write a Warriors AU fanfiction. But what should I write? Vote for your favorite ideas, all listed below. Once I have enough votes, I will pick what to write. {tw: death / mild horror} For ideas: I have one unnamed Warriors fic I've been working on for a while. The placeholder name I've been using is Washed Thunder, but I don't love that as it kinda sounds like someone stuffed a cloud in a laundry room. Synopsis: Copperpaw is a RiverClan apprentice. Orange tabby w/ amber eyes. The fastest cat in all of RiverClan. But there's more than that to her. Her mother, Wishingstorm, isn't actually her mother. She's her adopted mother. Storm's kids, Firepaw, Grapepaw, and Featheredpaw, also think Copperpaw is their biological sibling. But you see... Copperpaw is half-rogue. She was born in ThunderClan, and she's a direct descendant of the mighty Firestar. His only living descendant, actually. So how did this important little ThunderClan rogue end up where she is today? Well, Copperpaw's father, Quinn, is living in Twolegplace. He has no idea she exists. Or that his mate, Copperpaw' biological mom, Cypressdew, is dead. Cypressdew gave birth to Copperpaw in secret, not telling her mate or any other cats. When Dawnstar found out about Copperkit, she made her deputy Featheredcrest abandon her in RiverClan territory and tell Cypressdew she had died in battle. Wishingstorm's mate, Steamwisp, found Copperpaw. Wishingstorm took her in. Copperpaw remembered Cypressdew, but when she was two moons, Pigeonkit bet she couldn't swim in the river. She accepted the challenge, but hit her head hard on the rocks. Pigeonkit (now Pigeonpaw) felt really bad, and when he got older, developed a crush on her. She got a concussion and forgot all about Cypressdew and ThunderClan. She believes that Wishingstorm is her biological mother. When she was apprenticed, she got the mighty Fallowgrape as her mentor- the deputy of RiverClan! Unfortunately, Fallowgrape was killed in a raid, leaving Copperpaw to grieve for him. That's when Mallowberry, the medic took an interest in her. Mallowberry, a sweet she-cat, thought Copperpaw might make a good apprentice. But Copperpaw wants to be a warrior! On the other hand, she did want to be a medic as well. She was apprenticed to Maskedfog. By day, she trained with him on warrior duties. By night... she worked with Mallowberry. She barely slept. She overexerts herself, and Mallowberry wants her to stop, as her former apprentice, Spiderpaw, was exiled for leading this double life. Soon, Maskedfog retired to the elder’s den, and she got another mentor, Mountainflower, who trained her until she became a warrior named Copperblaze. I also have The Saga Of Struck Lightning. It details a malicious leader splitting LightningClan into two Clans as an attempt to gain power and the admiration of the cat he loves, who will never love him back as she is still grieving the loss of her mate and one of her kits many moons ago. Her surviving kits, she blames for their deaths, and is neglectful of them, except for one who comes with her to the new Clan, WaterClan. Since all the able-bodied warriors left for WaterClan, her remaining kits are all that's left of LightningClan's hope for the future. One of them, Emberkit, decides to train as a medic, but instead of having a living mentor, she is trained by Skytree, the first medic of ancient LightningClan. At the end of her training, she receives a prophecy that she must conduct twelve trials to find LightningClan's new leader. Malicious ghosts of the Dark Forest delivered the prophecy, not ghosts of StarClan, and thus, the trials are ill-conceived and increasingly deadlier. Will LightningClan ever find someone worthy to lead them? Fire In The Sky tells the story of MajestyClan, a Clan of brutal mountain lion / cat hybrids whose naming system is based around the virtues the cats exhibit. It tells the story of Glory and Sacrifice, brother and sister who could not be more different, from kithood to death. Five Times A Failure follows a minor character from Washed Thunder called Acornpaw who is exiled by ThunderClan's cruel leader for failing his warriors' assessment - what else? - five times. The story is about his life as a rogue and his gift of foresight that could have saved him from being exiled had it awoken earlier. {continued in n+c}
Your Last Life is a horror story. You know how leaders get nine lives? well. in this world... leaders get nine lives... but the lives are reincarnation. every cycle, they're destined to be leader. on their ninth cycle, they can finally join StarClan. that's the main world difference. second difference? uh oh. StarClan messed up with Robinstar. He and his mate and deputy, Bramblebreeze, were both killed by a freak storm and a bolt of lightning that hit them both. Now they are forced to live a groundhog-day-esque version of each of Robinstar's lives, but this time? He remembers all his reincarnations. And every life, Bramblebreeze is there, in one way or another. He's mad at his mate for getting them trapped here. In each of the supposed-to-be ninth life, ThunderClan always gets destroyed. So now, the two cats have to deal with hostility, reincarnation, and saving their Clan. Not over one lifetime... Over nine. They only remember their past lives when they're in-between getting reincarnated and dying - the state when StarClan would heal a leader in the normal book series after taking away one life. “I don't know why I feel like I've known you forever.” - Robinstar Arcane Island details the most legendary cats ever living the lazy life up in StarClan. They haven't practiced their skills for moons and all they remember about their real lives was that they did some really cool stuff, annoyed bad guys, charged into epic battles, and et cetera. One day, they're all reincarnated by Firestar, but since Firestar was too busy trying to keep track of his modern family tree, he accidentally wiped everyone's memory, changed their names to kittypet names, separated them into three rival Clans named after trees, and sent all 1000+ of them to a system of floating islands in the sky where nobody has any idea how to be a warrior. Oops. The Chronicles of Mallowbirch explains how StarClan is supposed to guide the living Clans. Unfortunately, the ancestors are having a truly catastrophic administrative crisis. Prophecies contradict each other. Different ancestors give different instructions. One medicine cat receives a vision that simply says PLEASE HOLD. Mallowbirch somehow becomes the only cat capable of communicating with the ancestors clearly enough to figure out what's going on. The fate of every Clan rests on a stereotypical background cat who did not apply for this position. Mildly Unimportant is about ~ In GoodClan, a kit named Protagonistkit is born to be the main character of the story, while his quieter brother Unimportantkit is left in the background. Protagonistkit dies early in a very unceremonious incident where someone unequipped his plot armor, causing reality to start glitching because the narrative has lost its central role. EvilClan’s leader Badstar continues trying to act like a legendary villain, but discovers his entire villain arc was never properly set up. With no protagonist to anchor the plot, all the Clans’ NPC cats start acting self-aware, confused, or bored with their assigned roles. Unimportantkit is left in a broken story where everyone is questioning what they’re even supposed to be doing, and nothing is functioning like a normal Warrior Cats world anymore.
