“A Little Farther Away, But Never Apart” I never thought this day would come, The day you’d leave, the day you’d run Toward a world that’s bright and new, While I’m still here, missing you. We made some memories, laughed till we cried, Shared little secrets we kept inside. Through all the moments, both big and small, You were my favorite friend of all. I’ll miss your smile, your silly ways, Our endless talks and unforgettable days. I’ll miss the comfort of having you near, The friend who could make everything clear. But even though you’re moving away, Our friendship won’t simply fade to gray. Because miles are just numbers, roads are just lines, And true friends stay connected through distance and time. For the friend who’s leaving: sometimes the hardest goodbyes are the ones we never wanted to say. my friend is moving ToT and I wrote this poem for her and gave it to her and she read it and started to cry I hope when others read it they can feel the emotions I put into it and she moving to Oklahoma on 10/13/2026 and I wish I could skip soccer practice to go hang out with her one last time on 10/12/2026 but I'm the manager so I can't ToT if you have a friend that's moving this is for you and I would recommend to cherish the moments you have with them cause you never knows what tomorrow would hold. let me know in the comments what you guys think and I'm still trying to process the fact that shes moving.
