It felt cold outside when Blackclaw padded out of his nest, wishing that something out of the ordinary would happen today. "Hey! Blackclaw!" Sunfall, ThunderClan's deputy, called. "Yeah?" "Wh-What do you mean 'Yeah?' It's dawn and you're awake. What do you think I'm gonna ask you?" "Uh..." Blackclaw felt annoyed. *He's making me feel soo stupid! I can't believe I asked 'Yeah?' when the answer was clear as day.* "Well? You coming? Let's go. ShadowClan border." Sunfall was already trotting to the forest, his patrol (containing of Adderfang and Moonflower) following behind him. "Hey!" Moonflower padded next to him as they made their way to the ShadowClan border. "Hi." Blackclaw said in response. "I saw what happend between you and Sunfall." She mewed. "Well, good for you." Blackclaw picked up his pace, wanting to leave the light gray she-cat behind. *Why does she always have to be a tick in the pelt?* He knew that she was just trying to be nice, but he wouldn't have it. "We're here." Sunfall's mew made him wake up from his thoughts. When they were about to finish marking the border, strong ShadowClan scent swept over them. "ShadowClan!", Sunfall hissed, "Go!! In the bushes! NOW!" The four cats slipped into the bushes, their pelts brushing up as two ShadowClan warriors came into sight. "C'mon, Shadowspark!! I think I smell a rabbit!" It was Graytail. Blackclaw saw a pretty gray she-cat with bright blue eyes pad up to him. "You know, that's not all I smell." Her eyes narrowed to slits when she saw Blackclaw's bright amber-yellow eyes gleaming. "ThunderClan!!!" Graytail padded in front of Shadowspark, as if trying to protect her. "Keep your fur on, Graytail." Sunfall padded out of his place in the bushes, followed by Adderfang and Moonflower. Blackclaw, more hesitantly, followed. Shadowspark caught his eye, then quickly looked away. "We were just marking the border. And staying on our side, might I add." Adderfang snapped. Graytail swung his tail. "Let's go, Shadowspark. They're mouse-brained anyway." Blackclaw watched Shadowspark as she padded away, and couldn't stop thinking about her as they walked back to camp. Pinestar announced who was going to the Gathering. Blackclaw was one of them. "Let's head out!" Blackclaw padded at the same pace as his leader, hoping to see Shadowspark. After the leaders explained everything, Blackclaw glanced around for the beautiful gray she-cat. When he saw her, he saw that she was sitting near Graytail. *Does she even like him??* He thought. "Hey!!" He called to her. Shadowspark looked up in surprise. "ShadowClan!! It's time to leave." "Uh... I have to go," she mewed, "But.. I'll see you later, 'kay?" ..... ❤️❤️❤️❤️
