This isn't going to be one of my more normal projects that are light-hearted and stupid. Just be aware. And I'm NOT QUITTING. NOT. QUITTING. NOT. QUITTING. (Did I mention I'm not quitting?) Scratch has been starting to grow old. I feel like I've spent way too much time clicking the refresh button on my mail tab for at least 30 minutes each day alone. There are PLENTY of other things that I could opt to do instead of this, but I choose Scratch most of the time. Which isn't healthy. Yeah, sure, it's nice to have a semi-consistent upload schedule. But where does it get me in the end? This isn't YouTube, so other than attention, (which I highly appreciate from everyone) I get nothing out of this. So why should I let a side hobby impact my life so much? Truthfully, what I want to say here is that I really, REALLY wish I could branch out and try new things. Make YouTube videos, post my art online aside from this small website, even just branch out into new fandoms and communities, SOMETHING. But I can't. I can't because I don't have the right to do so yet. As I have stated before, I make, like, 95% of my projects on my school computer. This is because it is 1 of my 2 devices that I can use Scratch with. The other, being my tablet. Now, this wouldn't be a problem, right? "Plasma, just use mobile to make stuff!" I would if my mom would let me. I really would. But my mom is basically the reason why I can't do all of these things. Now, before I talk about her, let me clarify something: I love her with all my heart. She has done and sacrificed so much to help me out and do nice things for me, all of which I'm eternally grateful for. But she is REAL skimpy on anything online. Like, anything. Even this Scratch account isn't good by her. I'm technically not supposed to even be using Scratch. When she first learned about Scratch, know what she told me? "Plasma, you know they have a junior's version of this, right? Why don't you use that instead, it's much safer." Dawg. Did you even LOOK at EITHER website? And don't even think about getting something like [[FreeSpeechAmendApp]] or [[FreeBirdApp]] until I'm at LEAST 16. She doesn't know what it is or how it works, but hell knows I'm not going to try and pull a fast one on her over something like that. And I'm not supposed to be able to download apps on my own either. There's this whole passcode thing that they set up to confirm it's them. HOWEVER, I did manage to get my hands on the code after some poking around. So, technically, I COULD download the apps and such that I'd like to get. However, this is EXTREMELY risky. If she were to find out somehow, I'm pretty sure she'd just remove all access to anything online related all together. And as for my school laptop... obviously that won't work out. This is the one popular website that isn't blocked by the school district for some reason. Probably because it's meant to be used as an educational website. A proxy would be a solution here, but my school blocks any apps that aren't whitelisted from being downloaded. As for website-based ones... it technically could work. IF I'm willing to spend a lot more time into researching new proxy links whenever the school blocks my current in use ones and spending more time getting less out of my time online. And I'm not really a fan of that idea. I really wanna start spreading my wings, man. I really do. There's only so much I can do about my situation, though. So, for now, I have to stick with what I got. And maybe this site still has a lot more to teach me than I realize. Until then, I'll see y'all in the next project. -Plasma
