This circle is commonly known as a “death spiral” because the ants might eventually die of exhaustion. ———— How could this happen? How could this happen to her? She was a *good cat*… wasn’t she? Bug thought bug was, at least. Yes. She was. It was everyone else who was wrong, *she* was a good cat. She was a good warrior. She hunted for her clan when other cats were too lazy to care for their own, she’d been training an apprentice before her life was ripped away from her. How could this happen to her? In Antstorm’s anger over losing her friends, bug began to spiral. She spiraled and spiraled until death came for her with it’s gauche taste for irony. Bug would not fall so easily, though. She persisted. She did not go to the dark forest, as she had hoped, to serve her clan in death; no, bug’s soul festered along with her spite and she clung to her body like a fungus clung to ants, and she persisted.
