algea has released a new single • • • • • • • alt acc vers ☊ sound up ! hey there ! new single ! i actually quite like this one , so i hope you do too ! ( fun fact ! ) : the first demo of this song went in a completely different direction , with the doubting feelings that this person singing it feels like they aren't egotistical , when they really are ! lyrics ◦ ◦ ◦ bury me in a landslide , so deep , you'll never have to see the bad parts of me . and cover me with halos , so much , you won't be able to see in deeper , the jealousy . is there a word for my behaviour ? call it a mistake , but still , i'm an egotistical . i just want to be you . people shout my name so loud that everybody knows and compliments the things i do - the glory , but its not true . do it again , and again , until you see who i am . but still you'll shout my name , pronounce it wrong , when my own throat is sore . is there a word for this behaviour ? i'm being apathetic but still , you swear i'm no egotistical . nobody's saying it . only i am , talking to the walls you built between us . my throat hurts from screaming my own truth , but your voice overshadows , angels cover me . my behaviour ( is there a word for my behaviour ? ) egotistical , no ego , angel . ( call it a mistake , but still ) surface behaviour , you say theres no way i'm egotistical , ( i'm an egotistical ) is there a word for this behaviour ? two - faced situation , egoistical .
explanation ◦ ◦ ◦ this song, as you may have been able to gauge from the lyrics alone , is about the humane struggle of egos we all have them , so why do fans of celebrities try to create a god around their 'bias' ? no human is perfect, so call me all those words, but even if i was being egotistical , its a human fault. this song almost comes from a point of view of a celebrity of sorts , when the fans simply can't agree that they've done something wrong , and so , make the situation worse . ( if you'd like clarification on the meaning of this song , please never hesitate to ask ! ) credits ◦ ◦ ◦ this entire project was made by me ! the thumbnail and lyrics were entirely composed by me , and the instrumental itself was made from copyright free loops from the D A W ' soundtrap ' .
