Thomas was built in 1915 on the LBSCR with the rest of the E2s. He went to Sodor in the same year and helped to build the railway. He was station pilot at Knapford Station and wanted to pull his own trains. After helping James out of a nasty accident, he was rewarded the Ffarquhar Branchline, and two coaches called Annie and Clarabel. When Noah arrived on Sodor in 1945, he and Thomas had a bit of a rivalry. After helping Thomas from a runaway, the two tank engines buried the hactet and became firm friends. When Duck arrived in 1955, Thomas started having a crush on him and in 1960, they became a couple. After that, Thomas's story plays out the same as in the RWS and TVS.
