i haven’t shared any writing lately and I’m bored so take these scraps of writing that tell you nothing about the girls’ personalities because they’re new for context they’re at this like boarding school and they were out yapping in a courtyard and bolted back to Tamirre’s room to hide from security also experimenting with demihuman concept except i like fauna better so demifauna  Raaldi pov (written while sleep deprived) Raaldi sat down on the edge of Tamirre’s couch, kicking her feet up over the arm and resting her head on the first cushion. Footsteps sounded in the hallway outside—she could hear them this time, heavy and slow, checking each door, waiting to hear if there was noise. Tamirre perched on the far arm of the couch with her feet up on an ottoman, moonlight slanting through a gap in the curtains and setting her hair in silver. Her red eyes were dilated and fixed on the door, ears twitching faintly but both trained on the door as well, clawed fingernails resting on the back of the couch. She looked both relaxed and alert, as though the two coexisted simultaneously within her body, like she was confident in her ability to do nothing but as though she hadn’t decided if she wanted to act or not yet. Tamirre pov (written while rested somewhat) She looked like she didn’t have a care in the world, legs kicked up over the arm of the couch and an arm pillowing her head against the cushion, other hand tapping a silent beat against her thigh. Crystalline eyes wandered across the room, an air of boredom hovering over Raaldi as her gaze drifted to a halt on Tamirre. She pretended she didn’t notice the way the other girl watched her, peripherals making it hard to be sure anyway, keeping her attention seemingly directed at the door, at the distant footsteps she could hear. [ … ] Raaldi shifted, carmine hair falling across her neck as she turned to glance at the door, meaning the footsteps would be close enough for her to pick up, now. Tamirre recognized something else as she focused intently on sound- the beat of Raaldi’s heart and the discordant hitch of her breaths, betraying uncertainty as the steps grew nearer, but her face didn’t change at all, remaining bored, impassive. /I wonder if she knows how good she is at acting./ cringing it sounds cheesy to me, it’s not doing my mental vision justice </3 i wrote Raaldi part yesterday at 11 pm because I couldn’t sleep and I woke up today and got a large chunk of Tamirre’s done during block day lunch (which is actually ten minutes longer than a normal day) and was writing some while waiting for my bio teacher to come check some work I was doing with my bestie, who had produced her phone and was secretly playing block blast for approximately five seconds i did write more than that for both of them it just isn’t as epic and it was rushed and it was sleep deprived work originally, i just wanted to write the same scene from both perspectives magic system i had developed for their world is cool i think, i need to revise and work on and then i will share
