"Free From Spawn" - AzureTime FF (Part 7)

Two Time was finally able to sleep after a while of tossing and turning. Azure was up and feeling a lot better after drinking the medicine. He was currently cooking breakfast for the two of them since he knew if Two Time cooked, the house would be down in flames. He hummed along to the faint melody in the background which came from the small radio that the apartment provided. Two Time finally sprung awake, gasping for air. The action caught Azure’s attention causing him to turn around to face Two Time. “Two Time, my nightshade! Are you ok…?” He sat down beside them and placed his hand on theirs. Two Time blinked in confusion until gathering themselves together to realize that it was just a dream. Their dreams had been getting progressively worse within each day. It was about the same thing. Them going through with the sacrf!ce and ending up in a horrible situation. “Azure…?” They mumbled as they reached out to touch his face gently. He smiled at his name coming out of their lips. “Yeah, I'm here.” His voice was soft and soothing for them. Once Two Time finally calmed down, they sat down on the couch as Azure placed their breakfast on the plates. Their legs were curled up next to them as the TV played a random show. Azure walked over to where Two Time was sitting and held out a plate full of food. “Here, you should eat since I’ve noticed you’ve lost some weight.” They nodded and took the plate. They stared at it for a while before grabbing the fork and taking a bite of the waffles. They smiled at the taste. Two Time always enjoyed their lovers cooking. “It’s delicious!” Azure smiled as well, glad he could make his Nightshade happy. Azure grabbed his plate and sat next to Two Time. The two both sat in silence before Two Time finally spoke up. “I ran into Amarah at the pharmacy.” Azure froze. What if Amarah did something. He sighed, not wanting to worry Two Time. “...What did he say?” He asked calmly. Two Time avoided eye contact as they spoke. “He said that I betrayed spawn and that I should’ve sacrf!ced you like I was supposed to.” Azure blinked. “Sacrf!ce…?” He didn't remember hearing anything about a scarf!ce. Right…Two Time hadn’t told him because he didn’t want him to worry. “I…I’m sorry.” Tears began to fall as they sat their plate on the coffee table that was in front of the couch. “Amarah told me I had to…A week before we ran away, he told me I needed to sacrf!ce you for spawn to get m-my second life and I said I would…” Their small tears now became sobs as they buried their head in their knees. Seeing Two Time like this made Azure hurt. He hated seeing them sad and crying because if they were hurt then Azure failed as a partner. “No, It’s ok, timey…Please don’t cry, my love…” Azure pulled them into a hug which made Two Time gasp. They thought they would scream and yell at them for accepting to do such a thing. “But…I-I was going to-” Azure cut them off. “But you didn’t. You chose to run off with me and it was the best thing ever. I can’t stand to lose you.” They stayed like this for a few minutes before breaking apart. “Lets just continue eating, ok?” Azure said as he grabbed both of their plates and handed Two Time theirs. “Fine…” Amarah sighed to himself as he peaked through the window in the kitchen. He was clearly p!ssed. “If you won’t do it, I will.” He thought and then disappeared.
