The Filiaformes are immediate descendants of Abetal, acting as offshoots separate from tentacled life. Two bodyplans have emerged from this clade, both similar in scope to Earth. Regardless, both bodyplans are distinguished by the presence of flagellates. Exococcus are generally spherical blobs lined with dozens of small flagella along their cell wall. They are able to move in any direction, usually at a slow pace, and have a slower metabolism overall. Exobacillus have faster metabolism due to their ability to move quicker, having long flagella on their body. There is a clear front and back. It is assumed that these bodyplans will be able to spread quickly along the hydrothermal vents and nutritional hubs the planet possesses.
