when you genuinely KINDA destroy the whole universe on purpose and become the new creator of the universe
oh right, let me explain. ahem. There are 6 gods, named Overseers because I wanted them to feel special. There is Oblivion, the ringleader of the Overseers. She controls every major decision and fate as well. The way fate works, is that she writes a story for every mortal with a possibly infinite amount of branching paths (don't ask me how she does it) however, no matter which choice the mortal chooses, they cannot change their lifespan/life expectancy. they always have a due date to die. There is Eternaton/Eternity. He is a fundamental pillar of the cosmos and breathes spirit into the mortals, the 'independence' in his title as Eternity of Power and Independence. Using his raw power, he pushed together the burning hot moons and asteroids and other cool rocks into the planets you stand on, being the concrete foundation of the world. Later, another Overseer (which I am too lazy to design and give lore) gives those planets nature, if they do not survive the planet's atmosphere then they go "Oh well." and go to the next planet. (such as Venus and Mars) In the modern world, Eternaton was watching a mortal choose the almost impossibly perfect path, achieving their dreams. Alas, the 'due date' we went over in chapter 5 page 334 question 7.21.4 which you totally read yup I can see you nodding your head, struck them before they were able to truly process what they had achieved. this made Eternaton so utterly angry, so angery >:( that he decided to send a teensy little message to the goddess of fate, Oblivion. What was this teensy little message? uhhhhh so if mortals are killed before their due date, it messes up something in the chronological order and in turn damages oblivion. This teensy little message was destroying the entire world. The entire multiverse. Everything you know, love, hate, and will hate (or love). So now eternaton has a reason for being all evil and stuff :D BUT it doesn't stop there, eternaton (just because) decided to make a massive, militaristic empire composed of nihilistic mortals and extremely danger danger war robots. he then erased a pretty massive chunk in the universe, and Oblivion was LWK kinda dying. (hold on right there though this is where 26/Skirmish/Manny/MySuperSecretAlienThatsSecret) Eternaton made 30 super soldiers which he then encased in an alloy 3/4ths as strong as the Overseers' Immortal Carapace and put them in rigorous training. However, Oblivion, with the last of her power, changed number 26's story a little, so that he would be rebellious against eternaton. 26 now knows. he knows what you did last summer. his eyes have been opened to the horrific destruction eternaton's space army had *created (*well, erased would also work) and was gifted a divine blade with it's energies specifically tuned to destroy eternaton. He hid it and went on a mission to neutralize a rebel threat on a massive oil rig (about 12~ Km) he systematically killed his brothers one by one until the last 2 were 15 and 28, his squad. 28 was easy to kill, but he felt horrible betraying his teammate like this. 15 literally almost killed our wonderful main character, but he was able to push him off the rig into the acidic, burning, and 100% *oof rate green sea. Unbeknownst to 26, the rebels had set up an atomic bomb (why were they doing this? I don't know.) on the rig, blowing it sky high, 26 barely escaping in a passenger ship.
