Reaction :) Space, arrows, AD or click left and right side of screen to flip page FOR THOSE WHO HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ROMAN NUMERALS ARE IMMA TEACH YOU MATH OK SCROLL DOWN :DDDDD. (I’m gonna yap a lot so…. yeah) I = 1 V = 5 X = 10 L = 50 C = 100 There’s also D for 500 and M for 1000 So for 1, 2 and 3 you just put I, II and III. But you can’t do four I’s for 4. Instead, you put I before V, so IV. If I is before a number, you subtract the number of I’s from that number. Ex: IX = 9, XIV = 14, XIX = 19. You can put I after a number, which means you have the add the number of I’s to that number. Ex: VI = 6, VII = 7, VIII = 8, XII = 12, XIII = 13 You can only do three of the same roman numeral in one number. For 20 & 30, you just do XX and XXX. For numbers like 37 and 24, you combine multiple numbers to make a bigger number. Ex: 37 - 30 =XXX, 7 = VII. XXX+VII = XXXVII=37. 24-20=XX, 4=IV. XX+IV=XXIV=24. For 40, you can’t put four X’s in a row. Remember the subtraction rule? Yeah, that applies to X too. So, 40=50-10=L-X=XL. Then you add single digit numbers after XL to get 47, 43, etc. Ex: XLIII (43), XLIX (49), XLIV (44). It’s pretty straightforward sorry if i made it confusing ;-; So, rules: -You can repeat the symbols I, X, C, and M up to three times in a row to add their values (Ex: III = 3, XXX = 30). You cannot repeat V, L, or D; they are only used once per combination. -When a smaller value symbol comes after a larger value symbol, you add them. ex: VI = 5+1=6, XI=10+1=11 -When a smaller value symbol comes before a larger value symbol, you subtract it. Only I, X, and C can be used as subtractors. I can be placed before V (5) and X (10) to make 4 (IV) and 9 (IX). X can be placed before L (50) and C (100) to make 40 (XL) and 90 (XC). C can be placed before D (500) and M (1,000) to make 400 (CD) and 900 (CM) Sooooo that’s basically it. Did anyone actually read all of this lmao if you did then well congrats have a waffle: _waffle_
