On January 9th, 2035 at 1:34 UTC+0 (4:34 Regional Time), the Free Socialist Republic of Gonoli declared itself fully independent from the nation of Stephekar. The nation had been fighting for independence under the support of SNP and Xinhai (also known as Xinhei) since its first declaration of independence in 2030. Stephekar pulled out a large amount of troops in 2032 but still had a decent amount of troops in the nation. The war was mostly recognized as over by 2033, but conflict continued with fighting with pro-Stephekar rebels in Nvarna and Gonoli. At the end of 2034 the process began again to create a full constitution and become fully independent, with Stephekar losing interest in the region. So far, SNP and Xinhei have already recognized its independence, with Stakraine and Starkasia discussing recognition.
