> introduction so recently i've been thinking that it'd be cool to have an archive of the experiences of people with disabilities/disorders that you can draw on for research, and so, I have created it! note: this project contains the info, while another project will contain the research + signup forms. also fun lil fact! I'm nearsighted and I have ASD- come talk to me about those things ok? table of contents: 0.) introduction (see above) 1.) what even is this, anyway? 2.) terms of use / rules , and how to utilize this 3.) how you can help out 4.) trustable sources \> how do I know I can trust something? 5.) how to write good / comprehensive research 6.) tips for roleplaying cats with disabilities 7.) important/relevant links 8.) other notes and credits > what even is this, anyway ? the great generations research archive (tggra) is a system I'll be starting to assist people with getting accurate information for research + learning what sites are trustworthy, and how to write / roleplay accurate research ! as always, I am not a member of staff / mod nor do I make the rules. always refer to the disability portrayal rules project, found in the 'important/relevant links' section of this project. if you're curious or confused about something, feel free to ask me & helpers questions (if you want to be a helper, please refer to the 'signups + how you can help out section) > terms of use , rules , and how to best use this 1.) absolutely no bigotry, discrimination, or ableism here !! it will get you dni'd + probably reported to a gens mod 2.) all people are valid ok ? one rule would be no lying about having a disability / disorder (tho tbh I don't know why you'd do that??) 3.) be kind , use common sense 4.) no using someone's personal experiences without asking them first okay? 5.) don't use someone's personal experiences if they've dni'd you + please respect boundaries and don't ask invasive questions 6.) uuuuuh remember to go drink water. now. 7.) while this is intended for gens, feel free to use for other rps, just possibly ask me first best usage of this is for what it was intended to do- research ! weather you're applying for a litter, creating a litter, or your cat is gaining something later in life (note that there are a decent amount of things your cat cannot gain later in life, such as ASD or ADHD). > how you can help out so! you want to submit your own experiences for others to use as research ? you want to help find trustworthy sources and websites ? you just generally want to assist ? then you're in the right place !! *please remix with any signup forms- it's the best way to keep track- and also add those to the studio* now, if you signup to have your personal experiences used as a source, you should be okay with these following things: 1.) getting interviewed 2.) other people citing you + using your words as quotes 3.) letting the world know you have a certain disorder / disability 4.) helping to explain things if someone is confused if you'd like to help find trustworthy sources /sites, then you should have these skills: 1.) experienced in researching 2.) good at telling if something is shifty/not quite write 3.) checking for ableism or bias in something general helpers should just be prepared to be helpful lol > trustable sources ..this section is rather barebones as admittedly I don't know many and am not the greatest at telling. y'all give me some sources + why they're trustworthy and I'll put them here w/ credit to you \> how can I tell if something is trustworthy ? again, barebones. I'll need help filling this out > how to write good / comprehensive research again... barebones (I do have tips myself but I want input from others for this section) > tips for roleplaying cats with disabilities yes there's another one. as with above, I have things to say but first wanna hear from ya'll > important / relevant links studio: disability portrayal guide: signups: archive: original idea: > other notes + credits generations is run by Petra and also all the amazing mods !! song is the ACNH theme thumbnail found off google
