THE BLEEDING STARS -¤- THE RULES OF THE BLEEDING STARS Vultureslaughter. Lucifer. The Bleeding King. These are the rules of the Bleeding Stars. You may have died once. You will not be given the excuse to make the same mistakes twice. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ♱ THE KING'S WORD The Dark Forest is not a place without rules. But a place where rules are vital. That does not mean chaos is restricted. "You have joined the Bleeding Stars because you wanted something." Vultureslaughter's silver eyes pass over the gathered cats. "Power. Purpose. Revenge. Belonging. Perhaps even redemption." His tail flicks. "Whatever brought you here, understand one thing. You are now part of something larger than yourself." "So listen carefully." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ☽ I. KNOW YOUR ALLIES Do not kill another member of the Bleeding Stars. Simple. If you are about to attack another cat, make certain you know who you are attacking. Do not blindly strike at a cat because you saw an opportunity. Before attacking, ensure that your target is: ◇ Not a member of the Bleeding Stars ◇ Not a protected high-ranking member of another faction ◇ Not involved in an established alliance or plot that prohibits the attack "An accidental attack is still an attack. And I have little patience for preventable mistakes." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ II. RESPECT THE HIERARCHY "The Bleeding Stars have a hierarchy for a reason." Members are expected to respect legitimate highranks and follow faction decisions when they concern the group. "This does not mean you are forbidden from questioning something." A pause. "It means you do so with sense. Disagreement is not betrayal. Undermining the faction because you dislike an order is." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ III. KEEP OUR SECRETS "What happens within the Bleeding Stars does not automatically belong outside of them." Do not reveal confidential information, plans, locations, alliances, or major plots without permission. "Information is power. Do not hand ours to someone else." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ IV. DO NOT ENDANGER THE FACTION "Your personal grudges are yours. The consequences, however, may become ours." Do not start unnecessary conflicts that could place other members, faction alliances, or ongoing plots at risk. "You may have enemies. You may even hate them. That does not mean you attack without thinking." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ V. EARN YOUR PLACE "Rank is not something you are owed." High positions are earned through activity, trust, contribution, and RP. "Do not demand a title. Become the sort of cat who deserves one." Highrank positions are handled through separate applications and decisions. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ VI. DO NOT ABUSE YOUR POWER Ghost powers are powerful. That does not mean they are limitless. Follow the established rules and limitations of your character's abilities. "Power without restraint is merely stupidity wearing a crown." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ♱ VII. RESPECT YOUR FELLOW ALLIES "You may disagree." "You may compete." "You may even hate one another." But members are still expected to treat one another with respect. Do not harass, bully, manipulate, or intentionally ruin another player's experience. "Your characters may fight." You do not have to. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ☽ VIII. KNOW THE DIFFERENCE "Your character is not you." Conflict between characters should remain separate from conflict between players. A character may betray another character. A player may not use that as an excuse to attack the person behind them. "Keep the blood in the story." ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FINAL RULE Vultureslaughter's gaze settles upon the gathered cats. "There is one final thing you should understand." He pauses. "The Bleeding Stars are not just built upon fear. We are built upon loyalty, trust.. If you cannot trust the cat beside you..." His eyes narrow. "...then eventually, someone will fall." He turns away. "So remember these rules." "Not because I expect you to fear me." A faint smile. "Because I expect you to be better than that." THE BLEEDING STARS The dead have fallen. "Now we rise."
