Full Name: Archangel Michael Race: Angel Realm: Heaven — Destroyed Age: INFINITE Height: 7'2" (218 cm) Weight: 205 lbs (93 kg) without armor Build: Tall, lean, athletic, and deceptively strong Role: Former commander and guardian of Heaven Current Status: Last known surviving angel Primary Goal: Find the King of Hell Appearance Michael is an imposing figure who stands over seven feet tall, with a slender but powerful build. His body has the proportions of a warrior rather than a human soldier, with long limbs and an unnaturally graceful posture. Despite his size, he moves quietly and deliberately, rarely making unnecessary movements. He has long silver-white hair that falls past his shoulders, usually messy from years of travel and combat rather than carefully maintained. Several strands hang across his face. His eyes are a muted gold, but their brightness has faded compared to what they were before Heaven's destruction. His face is pale and slightly angular, with several old scars crossing his cheek and near his eye. Rather than making him look monstrous, the scars emphasize how long he has survived. Wings Michael possesses six enormous wings. They were once brilliant white, but centuries of battle have left them damaged. Many of the feathers are gray, blackened, broken, or missing entirely. The outer edges of his wings are particularly worn. Despite their condition, they remain incredibly powerful. When fully extended, Michael's wings make him appear enormous, almost completely surrounding his body. When folded, they hang behind him like a dark, battered cloak. His damaged wings are one of the clearest symbols of his character: He is not the angel he once was, but he is still an angel. Armor Michael wears the remains of his old Heavenly war armor. The armor is primarily silver, white, and dull gold, although much of its original shine has disappeared. It contains numerous cracks and repairs from centuries of combat. The center of his chestplate bears the ancient symbol of Heaven. The symbol has been cracked directly through the middle. He refuses to replace it. Over his armor he wears a long, tattered white-and-black mantle that moves behind him like a cloak. Personality Michael is quiet, disciplined, patient, and extremely determined. He rarely raises his voice. Even when angry, he remains controlled. Centuries of isolation have made him distant from others, and he sometimes struggles to understand the world that developed after Heaven's destruction. However, underneath his reserved personality is someone who still possesses enormous compassion. Michael doesn't believe demons are inherently evil. He knows that many demons are simply born into the civilization that destroyed Heaven. His hatred is directed toward the King of Hell, whom he believes was responsible for the invasion. This belief has become the central purpose of his existence. Traits - Extremely disciplined - Highly observant - Patient - Protective - Loyal to the memory of Heaven - Reserved and difficult to read - Compassionate toward innocent people - Unforgiving toward those he believes caused Heaven's destruction - Carries enormous survivor's guilt - Rarely trusts others - Doesn't seek praise or recognition - Has difficulty accepting help - Will sacrifice himself if he believes it will protect someone else Weapon Michael carries an ancient heavenly weapon known as the Spear of Heaven. It was created before the fall of Heaven and has survived alongside him. Its blade is made from an unusual heavenly material that glows faintly when Michael channels his power through it. The weapon is covered in tiny inscriptions containing the names of angels who died during the war. Michael doesn't consider it merely a weapon. It is a memorial. Powers Michael possesses powerful angelic abilities, including enhanced strength, speed, flight, immense durability, and manipulation of heavenly energy. His greatest ability is known as Divine Authority, allowing him to manifest remnants of Heaven's power through his body, wings, and weapon. However, Michael's power has diminished since the destruction of Heaven. He is still extraordinarily powerful, but he is not invincible. The Fallen Angel The most important aspect of Michael's character is that he isn't a fallen angel because he became evil. He is fallen because his Heaven fell. His wings are damaged. His armor is broken. His home is gone. His people are gone. And yet he continues walking. Michael is essentially a living remnant of a civilization that no longer exists. His greatest fear isn't death. It's that someday there will be nothing left to remember Heaven by. That is why he continues his search for the King of Hell. Not simply for revenge. But because, to Michael, bringing the truth of Heaven's destruction to light is the last duty he has left.
