(Grimm POV) I had only taken a few steps forward when someone walked right in front of me. Barely stopping myself from colliding into them, I scowled and looked up the person. The dude I had almost bumped into had short pale blonde hair. He wore a cream suit shirt with a white suit jacket over it and white pants. He has black shoes and green eyes. He gave me an apologetic smile. “Oh, sorry. I was distracted and I didn’t see you there.” His eyes flickered past me and I glanced towards where he was looking. He was staring at Madison with a look that was somewhere between confusion and longing. I cleared my throat, trying to bring his attention back to me. His eyes quickly snapped back towards me. I forced a smile. “I’m Grimm. And you are…?” “Oliver.” The man answered. “Nice to meet you.” Just as I was about to reply, the lights suddenly flickered, and then d13d. I stumbled forward, bumping into Oliver’s broad chest. “Oomph!” We both nearly fell, but I felt Oliver grab my arms and steady me. The lights flickered on for a second. I could see Oliver looking down at me with a mixture of worry and protective, before they shut off again. A few seconds passed, and they turned back on. When I turned around, I stifled a gasp of shock behind my hand. There was a girl on the floor. I hadn’t seen her since I arrived. Her long, platinum-blonde hair was covered in bl00d. Her hairstyle is paired with a pastel-pink fur hat and long curled strands falling over one shoulder. She had a fluffy, pastel-pink fur shawl, with glittering bracelets. A st@b wound was in her back, and she wasn’t moving. Everything immediately expl0ded into chaos. I saw Val and Eliara standing next to each other, sharing a horrified look. Loki, who I also hadn’t seen earlier, rushed over. He knelt down next to the de@d girl and checked her wrist for a pulse that I knew wouldn’t be there. “Chanel’s gone.” Loki muttered, low yet loud enough for everyone to hear. Several people gasped in horror, and I even spotted Madison turning away with a shine that looked suspiciously like suppressed tears in her eyes. Wayne stepped forward, a hardened glint in his eyes. “No one move! We need to get to the bottom of this!” “And who put you in charge?” Someone snarked from the back of the crowd. They stepped forward. My face reddened with fury. It was Dread, my annoying older brother. He had this stupid smirk plastered on his face, like he knew a joke that we weren’t in on yet. Wayne’s brow furrowed. “This is a serious investigation, Dread. Please, can you-?” Dread cut him off. “I suggest that we all head to the meeting table. We can’t tamper with the evidence, right? So what’s the point in staying here?” Dread said in a tone that sounded more mocking than actually helpful. Everyone looked between Wayne and Dread awkwardly before someone finally spoke. “I agree with the red jester guy.” They stepped forward. The person had short, curly blond hair. He wore an unbuttoned formal black suit, decorated with a black tie over a red shirt and a belt around his waist, matching with black trousers and shoes. Wayne sighed. “Gabe, you can’t be serious.” Eliara shrugged, speaking tentatively. “I also agree with Dread. I say we leave the evidence here and head to the meeting table.” Multiple other voices were heard muttered in agreement. Wayne’s jaw clenched. “Fine.” He stormed off downstairs. Everyone began following. Without thinking, I jogged after Wayne, pushing past strangers to get to him. His gait was noticeably agitated, with his shoulders tense and his fists loosely clenched. I put a hand on his shoulder. “Hey. If it makes you feel any better…I think your idea was better. We should’ve stayed to investigate a bit longer.” Wayne slowed his pace just a bit, turning to look at me. “You really think so?” He asked. I nodded and a small, almost invisible smile appeared on his face. “I knew someone here had sense.” We heard someone walking quickly behind us and panting. Madison appeared on the opposite side of Wayne seconds later. “You two are so fast. Can’t you wait for a lady to catch up?” She huffed, crossing her eyes over her chest. I shrugged. “Sorry, Madison. We didn’t know you were following us.” Wayne nodded in agreement. She let out a scoff. “Whatever. Let’s just get to this meeting table.” As we kept walking, I squared my shoulders and lifted my head a bit higher. We had to figure it this case, one way or another.
