Jinxie Jackpot was a performer at a traveling circus. She was the famous act we all knew, the one who never missed a shot. This was true; she had never missed a shot before. Every time, it landed straight on the bullseye. Every. single. time. The crowd called it skill, but Jinxie swore it was just luck. A cold night after Jinxie's performance, she was trotting around the carnival when she saw something that made her stop. A young cat was attempting at winning the dart board game, and by the looks of it, was failing miserably. Jinxie, with a little free time in her paws, offered to help the young cat. “Oh my gosh! Jinxie, is it really you?!” The young cat would exclaim with excitement Jinxie nodded and pointed towards the dart, then made a throwing motion with her paws. “You want to try? Okay!” The young cat stepped to the side, allowing Jinxie to attempt a throw. The game host at the stand shook his head and mouthed “Don't” attempting to tell jinxie to leave. Yet Jinxie just rolled her eyes “You just don't want me to prove you that your game is rigged, huh?” She ignored his warning and aimed the dart. Then she threw it. BULLSEYE! Jinxie expected to hear the kid squealing with joy and the stand host grumbling under his breath. But there was nothing… As Jinxie looked around, everyone was gone. The next day, Jinxie performed as normal. She aimed at the small dart board and hit the bullseye on the first try. But this time, something terrible happened. As soon as Jinxie hit the board, a ride malfunctioned, causing people to get stuck on the top. At first, Jinxie thought it was a coincidence. But it kept happening. Every time Jinxie hit a bullseye, not just that dart board but any dart board, something terrible would happen. So eventually, Jinxie stopped perfectly hitting the bullseye. She purposely quit to protect the people around her. She had to figure out what caused this. Then it dawned on her. The dart board game. She won the unwinnable game. Now Jinxie constantly is missing her shots. She always looks over her shoulder, waiting for something terrible to happen. She believes that if she stops performing it will go away.
