After the coup of Konstantinos Koumas, he goes to Athens to make a new speech, proclaiming the bad days are over and the brighter ones are coming. In his first executive act as Supreme Leader of Greece, he declares education is free at all levels, and dissolves non-state funded private schools. Only state backed-private schools are allowed to exist. This is the only type of basic education you will have to pay for, aside from University and College, obviously. Next, we will begin paying our multiple debts to all nations, starting with Germany, while we begin coming up with ways to prevent us from ever falling into this situation again, but that's for another roleplay. We also raise the tax rate slightly higher, by 5% so the government can reinvest those funds into other stuff for the people. We also make all public services free and acessible for all.
[ INVASION OF ALBANIA ] Konstantinos also senses that the army needs to be back in the field of warfare, and after signing a military alliance with the leaders of Italy and Yugoslavia, the Grecian State officially declares war on Albania, and the primary goal of this war is to gain Epirus, and withdraw after that. Due to Albania lacking in military and also not fortifying their border with us, we don't see the need to begin our military reforms, just yet, as we see this as a good test to see just where exactly the army is at right now. We will move our troops into Epirus, using our tanks and artillery to ferociously bombard the Albanian forces while also bombarding their ports via our navy, hopefully capturing all of Epirus at this point due to lack of Albanian defense.
