Hii!! Soooooo, if none of you guys have no flipping idea what Waverdale is... it's a story I've been working on! I'm still doing chapter 7 right now (9/30/2026), but right now I'm just gonna show you peeps chapter one. /ᐠ - ˕ -マ Alrighty! Here it is: March 14th 2025 2:18 P.M… It was another Friday, and the clock above the whiteboard slowly ticked… “Come on… come on…..” Caith thinks, feeling very impatient. The teacher kept talking about the American Revolution, but for most students the only thing they could hear was the faint ticking of the clock. “Five, four, three, two, ONE!!!” “RING-A-LING-A-RING-A-LING!!!” went the schoolbell. Caith jumps up from her seat, grabs her backpack, and runs out the door. Many other middle schoolers were already out of their classrooms. It was another weekend again! Her dark blue sweater tied on her waist swung side to side, as she tried brushing the hair out of her face. Caith walked out to see groups talking among themselves, and sharing ideas for their club. Though, she wasn’t really in a club. Caith didn’t know what to do in the future. “But I’m going to decide about that later…” she thinks to herself. Caith quickly walks at a fast pace in the halls, and one of her friends named Kavi comes up to her. Kavi tries catching up to Caith, and adjusts her own backpack once Caith notices her and stops walking. “Hey, Kavi,” Caith says when she sees her. “How was your class today?” Kavi answers dramatically, ”It was so boring. I had to do an English test today, and I barely studied!” Caith sort of laughs at that response. “What do you want to do today?” she questions. “My schedule is free, so you can come to my house if you want.” “Let’s check in with Oyo,” Kavi replies. “I have an idea in mind.” The two of them make their way outside, and find a bench to sit at. They wait a few minutes, and Oyo finally comes outside from the building. “What took you so long?” Kavi says. “We waited here FOREVER.” “Stop being so dramatic, Kavi. We did not wait here forever,” Caith mutters. “Just had a long class today, I guess,” Oyo finally answers. “So, you texted me that you wanted to go see an abandoned lab?” “What?!” Caith shouts. “You told her, before me?!” “Shut up,” Kavi says. “I was going to text you, but my teacher took away my apple watch.” “Guys, guys, calm down,” Oyo cuts in. “Let’s go find that lab you talked about.” “Alright. It’s fine with me,” Caith says. “Come on.” The trio walked along the streets of Waverdale, New Jersey. There was a smell of coffee and donuts in the air, and little kids were playing at a nearby playground. It was such a nice day to do whatever they wanted without a care in the world. Kavi finally showed them the alleyway where the entrance of the lab was. It didn’t really look abandoned at all. A few scratches on the concrete walls were placed, indicating that some animals have fought here. Weak plants were barely surviving from the cold water, and a large dumpster was placed against the brick wall. “This is the place,” Kavi exclaims. “Wow,” Caith says. “I don’t think we’re even supposed to be here…” Kavi shrugs. “It’s fine. We’ll just say that we didn’t even know we weren’t supposed to go here.” “That’s the worst lie I’ve ever heard in my life,” Oyo starts. “when there’s clearly a ‘NO TRESPASSING’ sign!” “It’s worth a shot,” Kavi says as Oyo sighs. They slowly walked towards the front door, but Caith hears a swish! noise. She swiftly turns around, but nothing was behind her. “That’s weird… I swear I saw something black at the corner of my eye,” Caith thinks to herself. “Caith! Are you coming?” Oyo shouts, already at the door with Kavi. “Yeah!” Caith replies, walking towards them. “Sorry. Just thought I saw something.”
