(<---- vee's new design!! i don't like it that much bc i wasn't sure of what to do since she's basically a head now- this is also a short chapter but trust me, the next one will be longer!!) The monster pounced on top of Vee, before its wing-like claws started to dig into her robotic body. Vee’s screen rapidly glitched, as wires and ichor splattered onto the floor. Half of Vee’s screen was left broken and glitching, as wires could be seen beneath from the broken glass. All Vee could do was scream as her body was being mauled alive. Finally, the creature of Dandy put its wing-like hand on her antennae before pulling. “S-STOP! AGH, PLEASE—AAAAAAAA!!!” She couldn’t stop what would happen next. The creature ripped her head clean off the wires. Immediately, Vee’s tv screen shutted down, as her struggle finally ended. Her whole body went still as ‘Dandy’ dropped her head on the floor, before it continued on its way to look for its next victim. Meanwhile, Astro was still hiding behind the same bookcase. Astro heard the whole thing. He heard Vee’s screams. The crack of broken glass. The glitching of her tv screen and the powering off of her last words. Then, it all hit him at once. He needed to go to the elevator and warn everyone. He didn’t think that anyone was in their rooms at the moment. Astro stood up from his hiding spot as he looked around the dimly lit environment. He needed to get out of there, and fast. Before, it was too late. Astro uses his magic, as he used it to look around the place. Finally, he started walking down the dark hallway as he made his way toward the elevators. The only thing that was guiding him was the glow of his stars. The hallways looked much unsettling when it was darker. He didn’t know where he was going since he wasn’t used to wandering around in the dark that much. It made him wish that there was something else with him. Meanwhile, Vee’s head and her severed body was still deep into the hallway of where Dandy had mauled her. Then, Vee’s screen flickered on. Her screen was completely broken as it was glitching rapidly. Wires were hanging out from beneath her head. “SYSTEM REBOOTING.” Her tv-screen spoke, but her voice was more glitched out and unrecognizable. “VIRUS SETTING. SET TO SELF-REPAIR.” Using the wires from her head, it hauled her severed head up before crawling across the floor. Then, the wires carried her head towards the wall, before it lifted her up towards the dark ceiling. Astro was now halfway through the hallways. He wasn’t sure of where he was going, but he knew that he would probably be there soon. Finally, he reached an area where the toons would usually hang out. The area was dark and empty, of course. There were only small chairs and tables for them to sit at. Then, Astro felt something drop on the palm of his hand. Astro slowly looked down at his own hand. There was a black, oozing droplet directly on the center of his hand. Slowly, Astro looked up at the ceiling. There was Vee, her severed head hanging from the ceiling. Her green eyes were now black and distorted, staring down directly at him. “...” “ENEMY DETECTED.” “AAAAAAAAAA—” Astro bolted out of there as he quickly ran towards the elevator. His fluffy slippers that he was wearing, squeaked across the wooden floor, as he ran through the darkness. (CONTINUED BELOWWW!! :D)
Finally, he reached the elevator, as he quickly clicked the button to open it. “Come on, Come on, COME ON—!” He spoke to himself, as he desperately clicked the button. He looked behind him, seeing the head of Vee carrying itself by using the wires. It was getting closer, and closer. If this elevator wouldn’t open soon, he would be in the same faith as her and his dear friend— DING! Finally, the elevator doors opened as Astro ran inside. He turned around, as he watched as the elevator doors closed in front of him. He was finally safe, for now. He slowly walked towards the elevator buttons before reaching up with his magic and clicking the button to the main lobby. He had to warn all of them. But, before all that, he had to talk to the toon that made this all happen. Sprout. The elevator doors opened as Astro made his way out of the elevator. He looked around his surroundings, seeing the usual toons chatting or playing around with each other. They looked so..happy. It was a shame that they didn’t know what happened a few minutes ago. Then, his attention landed on Shelly. She was sitting on a bench as she was leaning against Tisha. Tisha was comforting her, as Shelly..didn’t look her best at the moment. Astro made his way towards both of them. “Hey, Shelly..! Hi, Tisha. Are the both of you doing alright?” “Oh, Hi, Astro! I’m doing alright, but Shelly hasn’t been feeling her best lately.” Shelly let out a pained groan, as she moved closer to Tisha. “Ughhh…” Astro’s expression softened as he saw his friend in pain. “I’m sorry for that. I hope that she will feel better soon. I have to be on my way now. Bye!” Tisha waved to Astro, before she put back her focus on Shelly. Astro simply nodded before making his way back to the main kitchen. When Astro was walking, his kind smile faded as it got replaced with a blank look. Well, that was great. Another one of his friends was sick. And..there was nothing that he could do about it. Finally, he eventually reached the main kitchen of where Sprout and Cosmo should have been at. He could already hear their voices in the distance. “Should we bake a cake next, Cosmo? We still have sugar and all of the important stuff!” “Of course, Sprout! Let’s get to work—” “Wait.” Astro approached the kitchen, before he stood near the counter of where Sprout and Cosmo were working. “Oh! Hi, Astro! I didn’t see you there! Do you need anything?” “I do. I need to talk to you privately. Please..” “Of course! I’ll be right back, Cos!” Sprout turned his attention towards Cosmo. “Oh okay! Be back soon, Sprout!” Then, Sprout and Astro walked out of the kitchen, as they made their way towards a less crowded place in the lobby. Eventually, they stopped, as Astro made the first conversation with Sprout. “So..there has been something going on around here, Sprout. And, I’m concerned about all of our friends here.” “Oh.. That isn’t good..Was there a fight with Shrimpo again? Or–” “Just listen to me first. Something bad is happening around here. I think that you should know..” “What is it? Whatever it is, I will do my best to help! I just want for things to be better, y’know?” “Yes, I understand. So, answer my question honestly.” “Sure..!” Astro took a deep breath before he finally asked the question that he needed to say. “What did you do to my friends?”
