MSTS wants to keep this season of elite drivers simple yet challenging! It's simple: All drivers start at a base of 100 points. Base: 100 points Drivers will complete a formulated pre-season test at Russel's M-40 Speedway, with asphalt late models, to determine their season starting points. +1 for every position "gained" in testing 1st-110 2nd-109 3rd-108 4th-107 ECT... 10th- 101 Qualifying will be based on the previous races' starting positions, but in reverse. This still applies for the first actual race, even though there were no real placements in pre-season testing. Racing will be simulated using many formulas and simulations to determine the finishing order. Points for the standings will be given for finishing postion as follows: Winner: +10 2nd: +8 3rd: +5 4th-7th: +2 8th-9th: +1 10th: -5(besides 1st race) Double points will be given for both of the Flat Rock Speedway races No points awarded for the Corrigan Oil Speedway All-Star race The points system stays the same across Asphalt, Dirt, and Road Course. Those points will also be tallied up for an overall points standing across all 3 divisions. 4 Champions will be crowned across the final 3 races: Mid-Michigan Raceway Park will crown the Dirt Champion Motorsports Gateway Howell will crown the Road Course Champion And finally, Berlin Raceway will crown both the Asphalt Champion and the Overall MSTS Champion
