space/click David was built in 1915 by ST. Rollox Works to be a dockside shunter on the caledonian railway. he started out as a cheeky, optimistic little tank engine, who always getting into trouble. but none of the workman really liked him after he knocked a crate of expensive plates into the sea. but Dave loved working on the Caledonian Railway anyways. so when the CR absorbed into the LMS, he wasn't too happy. his lovely paint job got replaced with a dull black, and he had to work harder than ever. when world war 2 came around, another engine was sent to his yard to help out with his work. Dave was very happy to have some help, but he soon found out about how serious the situation was. he started hearing stories about families who lost their loved ones in the war. he didn't expect that he'd loose someone too. he started to enjoy the company of his companion during the war. unfortunately, during a bombing on his yard, his companion tried to save some military equipment and got blown to bits. after the war be became bitter, cranky and not very fun to be around. when BR was formed, he moved to another harbor. and in 1962, he was withdrawn and sold for parts. in 1976, he was found in an abandoned siding, missing multiple parts, he was then bought by the HWR, and work on restoring him began. in 1978, he was fully functional. and he's worked on the HWR ever since.
