During Transfiguration class, Fay sat at her desk reading her textbook. Katy Moon sat next to her; she was a Ravenclaw and one of Fay’s new friends. Just as Professor McGonagall was about to continue, the bell rang for the break. Everyone packed up their things and headed outside—Fay included. She waited for Hugo outside the classroom door. Then they went to the Hufflepuff Tower to drop off their bags before heading back downstairs. But instead of joining everyone else for the break, the two of them made their way to the hospital wing. There, they asked Madam Pomfrey, "Is Lily Luna Potter still here?" "No! She was transferred to St Mungo’s Hospital a few hours ago. She was still unconscious, and her condition hadn't improved. Her parents will be there, too." "Whaaat?" "Yes." "Can we please visit her? She’s our best friend!" said Fay. "You would have to discuss that with the Headmistress." So Fay and Hugo went to see Professor McGonagall and found her in her office. Professor McGonagall gave them permission to go to St Mungo’s Hospital that very day—accompanied by two teachers: herself and Professor Longbottom. "Thank you, Professor," said Fay. Then they went to their dormitories to fetch their wands. Afterward, they Apparated to St Mungo’s Hospital together with the two teachers. They walked along a long corridor until they reached a door with a sign: "Room 11 – Please Knock." Professor McGonagall knocked. The door opened immediately, and a nurse let them in. “Her parents will be here any minute!” she said, and left the room. Fay and Hugo sat down on the chairs in the room, while the teachers remained standing in the corner. “We’re going to look around a bit and have a coffee in the cafeteria downstairs. We’ll be back later!” the two said before leaving. That left Fay and Hugo alone with the unconscious Lily. Suddenly, Fay stood up; she had spotted a form lying on the table. She walked over and picked it up. “Hugo! Look what I found!” “What is it, Fay?” “A form, or something like that!” “What does it say?” “It says: Mrs. Lily Luna Potter. Mrs. Potter is to be taken to the Muggle hospital in London on Monday. An emergency operation is scheduled there, after which she is to return here. She should be better after that!” Fay read aloud. “Wow!” Hugo exclaimed. Just then, there was another knock at the door. Fay quickly put the form back down and went to the door. She opened it. Mr. and Mrs. Potter were standing there. They stepped inside and went straight to Lily. “Let’s leave them alone,” Fay said, and she and Hugo stepped out. “Monday! That’s tomorrow!” Hugo said. Then they went to the teachers and Apparated back to Hogwarts. There, they still had homework to finish, because Potions class was coming up the next day—and they had been assigned a lot of work for it.
