Chapter 4 For what seemed like the millionth time, in a good way, Amber leaned close to Will's ear and whispered to him. "I really don't get this bit about a circle's circumference," Judging by her book, she completely knew what she was doing, which was odd. As Will explained, it seemed as if she was only paying attention half the time, and trying to look at him without him noticing. "Thanks, Will. You've been so helpful this lesson," she smiled. Will then gleamed, nodded, and got back to his work. A few minutes later, Amber leaned over again, smiling that beautiful grin. She asked Will yet another a question. "So, do you have any plans for this holidays?" "Not much, just chilling an going to an archery camp," Amber thought deeply. "Archery? Sounds fun. Well, I hope you enjoy it!," "Thanks, Amber," he replied. "I hope so too," By the end of the lesson, Will was trembling and his legs were shaking as he got up to leave. Why was Amber wanting to talk to him so much? Surely she doesn't like him? He looked back and saw Ben hugging Charlotte goodbye. He looked over her shoulder as they embraced and he caught Will's eye. He raised and lowered his eyebrows as if he was asking how it went. Will frowned. Charlotte and Ben stepped away from each other and she thanked him for helping. Will walked off. At the end of the day, Annie looks around for Brock. She spots him and says, "I have stupid detention again. Meet me at the mall at 4:30 if you can," "Okay," Brock replied. "I can go," At 4:30, Annie strolls into the mall, and finds Brock looking at Pokémon cards in the window of a shop. "Hiiiii Brock! What should we do here?" "Well, I wanted to say... Uhmmm... That I like you too. I had no idea that you'd ever like someone as introverted as me, to be honest!" Annie just shrugged and grabbed his arm. She led him to a cinema, and she suggested that they go watch a movie. Brock thought to himself, "Wow, someone who likes me instead of Logan or someone!" At the end of the term, Will took his bow out of its case and felt the familiar string. He checked that there were no cracks or anything in the wood, then put it in his dad's car. He put his phone, some water, lunch, and a few other items in his backpack and hopped into the front passenger seat. His dad started the car and they drove, chatting about random topics along the way. When they arrived, Will's dad waved goodbye and drove back. He walked to where all the kids were, and his heart started racing like his dad's car. That golden blonde long hair... Is that- no... It couldn't be. Then she turned around. Yes! It was Amber, looking right at him, walking towards him with a bow in her hands! "Hi, Amber! That's... Quite a coincidence," Will said with a slight furrowed brow. His mind started racing, did she do it because of him? "Uhhh..." Amber felt a bead of sweat forming. "Yeaaah, it is, isn't it? I just thought it was such a great holiday activity to try since I don't really have plans," He nodded, 'Oh yeah. It's amazing how you somehow decided to go the one that I go to," At around nine that night, Amber lay down in her bed. She thought about that day. "I made myself look so weird in front of Will! I just wanted to be with him for longer!" she thought. "Having a crush is so hard. All I want is for him to like me!" She almost dozed off thinking about how handsome and kind Will is, how happy and cheerful he is. Then, simultaneously, Amber and Will both sighed and said, with some force, "I just want to be taken!!"
