|English| Extracted from the "What If?" SDS ___________________________________________ Have you ever asked yourself “what if” something could be different… What if the earth had two suns? What if we had voice-activated pencils? What if extinct animals were still alive? What if, what if, what if… In this Scratch Design Studio, we invite you to create projects and explore ideas using the phrase “What If?”. You could imagine how the world might be different if something major were to change, like if animals could talk. Or, you could imagine how your daily life might be different if something small were to change, like if you slept an extra 10 minutes every day. You might even explore the advantages and disadvantages should those change actually occur! Whatever you decide, we encourage you to have fun imagining how things might be if you could answer the question “what if…”. Looking for ideas to get started? - What if your favorite object, such as a toy, an electronic device, or a book, came to life? Create an animation about it! - What if time paused whenever you stopped moving? Create a game where the time pauses, moves backwards, or continues forward depending on the players movement. - What if we could no longer see any colors? Create an art project that imagines what the world would be like without color. - What if gravity stopped working for 10 minutes every day? Create an animation of what might happen during those 10 minutes. - What if you could talk to your future self? Write a story or poem to explore this idea. - What if you were granted three wishes? Create a project to share what your wishes would be and why! Remember, these are just suggestions. You are always welcome to come up with your own ideas or take inspiration from projects already in the studio. _____ To have your project added to this studio, please post a comment with the link. Please submit a single project shared no earlier than one month before the start of this Design Studio (this studio started on September 1, 2026 so projects made after August 1, 2026 can be added). If you don't have any projects shared after that date which fit the theme, feel free to make a new project and submit it! All projects must meet the community guidelines and be appropriate for all ages. It may take some time for your project to be added. Please be patient, we add projects oldest to newest, so we see all of them.
