Azure tended to the flowers in his greenhouse while the rain calmly hit the windows. It was around 7:00 pm now and evening prayers had just ended. Two Time was usually with Azure, but they said they were tired so they went straight to their cabin. Village members settled into their homes for the night except for Elder Amarah who was locking up the church. He was very protective of the building which always confused Azure. It was just a “normal” church. What was he hiding? Amarah finally left and headed into his cabin for the night so Azure got the (probably horrible) idea to check out what was in that building. Azure locked up his greenhouse and snuck to the church. There were chains with a lock around the door handles but it wasn't locked fully...Weird. Azure looked around him before quietly walking in, closing the doors behind him. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Everything looked the same as it had been this evening when he was here. Azure continued to look around, looking under the seats and on the podium. He noticed a door that seemed out of place. He’s never realized it before now. Azure nervously turned the door handle, dreading what could possibly be inside. Right as the door opened, a horrible odor hit him. It spelt like…like r0tting. He slowly stuck his hand in and felt the walls for a lightswitch. When he finally found it, he flicked it on and instantly regretted it. C0rpses, a lot and a lot of c0rpses dangled from the ceiling. They were drenched in bl00d which dripped from the walls. It was a disgusting and sickening sight. Why…Why would Elder Amarah even have this in the church..? Azure’s eyes darted to the butchers table on the left side of the small room. M3at…Human fl3sh in bags that were labeled…Labeled with names of other village members that had gone missing a while back...No Azure was horrified. He…He didn’t know what to do…oh spawn, was Elder Amarah feeding the village members the m3at…The thought sickened him. “Does Two ime know?” Was all that ran through his mind. He had to tell them. He shut the door to the m3at closet and ran out of the church, not even bothering to close its doors all the way. The lights were all out now. Everyone seemed to be asleep so he shouldn’t have to worry about being caught. Once he made it to Two Times house, he knocked quickly. He was sweating nervously of what awaits them. Two-Time answered the door, revealing a sleepy they/them (idk lol), as they rubbed their eyes. “Azure..? What are you doing up right now?…Everyone should be in their cabins, you may get caught…” Azure would have felt a sense of love from Two Time caring about him getting caught but all he could think of is what he saw. “Amarah…C0rpses…Eat!” Azure’s voice was shaky and nervous. Two Time could hardly understand him. They turned their head in confusion. “...Come in before someone sees you” Azure walked in cautiously as Two Time shut the door behind them. “Ok, my flower. Now slow down. You're talking so fast that I can’t understand you.” They smiled sweetly which made Azure’s heart turn. He sighed. “Amarah is keeping b0dies in the closet at the chruch…I saw them with my own eyes. He…He’s been feeding them to us…to the village in our food! For spawns sake, It is the food!” Two-Time stopped smiling and whatever light was left in their eyes disappeared. “What are you talking about? He would never. That's against spawns belief!” Azure had a feeling they wouldn’t believe him. Yet he had to try. Maybe they could run away together. “Please Two Time! I’m not lying. I can show you so you can see with your own two eyes!” His eyes began to water at the thought of his lover not believing him. “...Okay…yeah, lets go” Azure didn’t expect Two Time to agree so easily. They both made their way to the church. The door was still open from when azure was there. Once they entered, Two Time got an uneasy feeling in their stomach. The two slowly made their way to the closet door where all the t3rrors were in. “Here…you open it.” Azure moved out from in front of the door to let Two Time have access to open it. Two Time swallowed nervously as they turned the door handle. The light was already on since Azure didn’t turn it off. The smell hit them and so did the sight. “OH MY SPAWN!” Two-Time doubled over in d!sgust. They felt like thr0wing up and crying at the same time. “No, no, no…this…this can’t be happening…” Azure kneeled down beside them, his face full of worry and t3rror. “I know…I know” He said, trying his best to comfort them. “We have to go…” Two Time finally gathered themselves back together enough to stand up straight and look at Azure. “Go…? Go where!? We have nowhere else to go! This is our home!” They began to sob uncontrollably into Azure's shoulder. “Shh…calm down. We can pack the things we need tonight and leave here forever! We can find a place to stay…I don’t know where but I’m sure everything will be okay…I promise”
