TW for d3@th When I hear a seagull's cry And The ocean's upon my eyes I'll wish to the stars that you were there And think of the times we could have shared When I smell a salty breeze I'll know I've reached the seas And I hope that you'll be proud As the ocean waves are loud You'll be the sand under my paws and the shells cupped in my claws Now to the stars I yell For now that's where you dwell Now I bid goodbye to the one who showed me life I bid farewell my captain as I brace for the storm I'm trapped in
»Dagger walked to the center of camp where she saw a bunch of cats gathered. She wondered what all the commotion was about. Through cats she barely saw a limp body, she knew what it meant and felt pity for the cat, nothing more. »She walked closer to see if she could identify the cat, as she was finally close enough to see, cold, sharp recognition hit her like a bull3t. »Her legs suddenly felt weak, her head was swimming, vibrant colors filled her eyes and she ran over to the stream where she and her had spent hours on end, playing in the water, creating, dreaming and making plans. »/No/ /no/ it wasn't her it /wasn't/ her it couldn't be no, nononono. Tears filled her eyes soon streaming down her face as she silently cried for her. It wasn't true, maybe if she said it enough it would be true, she would come back. »No, it was true, she was gone, her captain was gone, her fellow explorer was gone, her crewmate was gone, one of her fri-no, one of her best friends was gone, Tempestkit was gone. »For good, she would never hear Tempestkit's voice again, they wouldn't go to Urchinclan together, they would never get to build and sail on their boat. She would never hear her captains voice again. »They would never play mossball, never talk, never swim, never play. Never, never, never, never, the word filled her mind again and again. »Tears were now streaming down her face, falling into the stream and flowing down the river. Each plop that sounded hurt like a bull3t. She was Tempest's crewmate, bull3t. Tempest was her captain, bull3t. They were going to make a boat, bull3t. They had played for hours bull3t. Biggest bull3t she loved playing with Tempest. »Oh the way Tempest would talk, her words tying together to create a story out of her words, oh how she made everything sound fun. Dagger had always wanted to be like her, to talk like her but she never could figure it out maybe, she should try. In memory of her friend she should try to carry on the story that tempest left behind. »Oh how she wished Tempest would come back, but she never would, the stars held her fast now. She only wished Tempest would have fun, be cared for, up there in the stars and when Daffer finally made it up there she and Tempest could talk like old friends. »She hoped that the stars would accept her, but she knew to do this she had to be as loyal as possible, so she would be she'd be the loyal poet. The artist, the master of words and when the time came she'd be welcome to starclan.
