( haven't had previous characters so...* ) ━━ • • ✦ ACTIVITY & PAST • ━ ━ okay so, i'd give myself a 7.5 / 10 in activity; i log on for about an hour every day ( minimum ) but some days i'm on more than others. ━ *i /have/ been in generations before, but like... i haven't been online in over a year and time does stuff so i can't name any previous accounts nor any previous characters. because of this, i'd like to call mulberry my first character if you'd let me ( if i win lol ). ━━ • • ✦ PERSONALITY & CONCEPTS • ━ ━ mulberry is a confused soul. she fears for the unknown and relishes the present. this is a healthy curiosity and a wide admiration for those stronger and more successful her. she enjoys studying other cats like bugs and keeps a log of every cat she has ever met, listing their habits and their tendencies. ━ she is methodical. she has her reasons and finds it a bit difficult to understand what others are talking about when they talk about being annoyed or sad. this is not out of a lack of sympathy, but rather a lack of empathy. ━ preferring to think over every scenario, mulberry often wonders how her past actions could have changed what the present is now. she grimaces at her past mistakes and likes to replay her successes when nobody is watching or listening. ━ mulberrykit can't concentrate just anywhere. she prefers solitude and watching from afar. she's calculating, watching, meticulous. nothing slips past her. she can easily sense lies but finds it difficult to pick up on sarcasm and flirting. ━ she takes everything very seriously. if you say "wow, your fur is so pretty" sarcastically, she will take it as a genuine compliment. ━ mulberry, despite her cold and generally distant demeanor, can be confident and leaderly. she is great at explaining, teaching, and reasoning, but doesn't hesitate to hurt someone's feelings to make her point known. ━ unbeknownst to most, mulberry is actually someone who enjoys violence. not in a vindictive way, but she finds it intriguing how the psyche and someones' psychological presence could compel them to choose something as foolish as harming someone else. it's a foolish concept in her opinion, but this kit will not hesitate to use claws to get her point across. she's calculating and if she has observed her opponent for a while, she would most definitely know all the weakness of the other cat that she is fighting against. ━ mulberrykit has a tendency to pick fights against those weaker than her. this is not out of cruelty, but she does enjoy seeing how panic and pain cause different responses in different cats. it's a cute and novel idea to her. ━ some might think that mulberry believes herself to be an otherworldly deity based on her way of acting, but she is anything but. she sees herself as a scholar of the mind and is more than happy to engage in deep and thoughtful conversations with those she deems worthy of her ideology and hypotheses. ━ mulberrykit, in pursuit of the knowledge of the cat, often uses herself as a test subject, working hard and exercising, then testing random plants and "medicines" on herself. ━ mulls is not a lighthearted cat. she takes the phrase, "if you bow at all, bow low" as a codex or a maxim that she intends not to break. she knows what happens when rules are broken, and though she often does enjoy chaos surrounding her, she also knows that fate only praises those who wait for their turn. [ + ] observant, detailed, confident, intelligent, practical, ⠀⠀⠀high-minded, scholarly [ = ] curious, analyzing, insensitive, grounded, ⠀⠀⠀otherworldly, unapologetic, polite, stoic, impersonal, ⠀⠀⠀unsentimental, truthful [ -- ] critical, cold, violent, cruel, blunt, obsessive, ⠀⠀⠀manipulative ━━ • • ✦ TRIVIA • ━ ━ she has no idea what sarcasm is ━ based off of mao mao from apothecary diaries, kaz brekker from six of crows, kiyoka kudo from my happy marriage, i bet on losing dogs by mitski, an unhealthy obsession by the blake robinson synthetic orchestra, the dismemberment song by blue kid ━ smells like mulberries and wildflowers ━ her eyes narrow ever so slightly when she's logging some information on a cat and her tail does two flicks, pauses, and flicks again ++
++ ━ doesn't snap or get mad, just... holds a grudge ━ strong interest in the daily life of a kittypet, but is a bit too hesitant to charge headfirst into a kittypet den ━ mimics the movements of other cats ( subconsciously or not, depends on the cat ) and memorizes anything she picks up while doing it as well ━ excellent memory if you couldn't tell ━ surprisingly has a very difficult time putting names to faces, needs to interact with them 2+ times to remember their name -- uses a number based system on habits to help her remember, such as "001" for someone she has met but doesn't quite know the name of ━ interested in inter-clan relationships and how the mind of cats collectively decided that borders were needed and that border scuffles and other fights needed to exist to "keep the peace" even though it doesn't ━ is interested in romance, but most definitely DOES NOT know how to handle it if she's receiving or feeling the feels ━ possibly using they / she in the future? mainly because she doesn't feel an attachment to a female identity. ━ theme song is the red means i love you by madds buckley or taking what's not yours by tv girl :eyes: ━ ( tw? ) has a collection of fish bones, kelp, twigs, etc. that she reassembles to form fishes and other animals, sort of like taxidermy but without dead animals? ━ okay so.. buff cat? perhaps lots of exp in fighting and a decent amount in stealth? i'm not too sure but my baby can't be weak -- it's not in line with her character >:3 ━━ • • ✦ FAMILY DYNAMICS • ━ MIRACLEMARVEL ( @-_F0r3st_Dw3113r_- ) ━ mulberrykit definitely takes after miracle. they both are extremely obsessive ( my take ) but are also quite distant. despite this, mulberry loves miracle and would absolutely call miracle her only parent. it's nothing personal towards rocket pop, but it's mainly the fact that they are neglectful and absent from her life. along with this, not only does mulberry look similar to miraclemarvel, she finds that mars's presence is comforting and soothing, which makes mar one of the only cats that mulberry lets her guard down around, though mulberry would never stop studying -- even for her own mother. ROCKET POP ( @-sumacberry ) ━ honestly, mulberry prefers to think of rocket pop as an uncle or cousin rather than a parental figure. she harbors more of a bug-to-researcher interest towards him and is extra cold. she doesn't enjoy how rocket pop is so distant -- mulberrykit would most definitely throw herself into a twoleg den to study how cats react when they are forced into a routine and life -- and finds it strange. however, it's quite intriguing and mulls would most definitely spy on rocket pop if it ever came up. CLOUDBERRYKIT ( @-lovelybird- ) ━ this version of cloudberry is someone that mulberry has a vested curiosity in. this cloudberry has a mysterious aura that draws mulberry in. she needs to know more about this cat that is related to her. in some ways, cloudberry reminds mulberry of herself. perhaps it's the way that he speaks, like he's unsure about whether or not diving in the ocean is a good idea. nevertheless, he is related to her, so he earns her interest. RASPBERRYKIT ( if sent to uc ) ━ mulberrykit is by no means a loving sister. she is in fact, the opposite. she disguises this extremely well, mainly presenting it as a deep curiosity. it's a strange and almost cruel concept to mulls. the act of excluding one's own kin and treating them far worse than any other of the bunch. mulberry will study this idea meticulously, but never end up stepping in. what's the point? even if she does, she knows it will make no difference. specifically when talking about rocket pop. TO HER SIBLINGS ( in uc ) ━ mulberry does not see her siblings as... well... siblings! she views them as her peers and often tries to have conversations as if they were just another cat. it's a strange concept and the idea of feeling a deeper connection to some cat just because the came from the same parent. despite this, she does find a certain amount of fun in studying them. if possible, she may also use her blood relation as an excuse for closer studies, as the extended time that she has spent with them may lead to a subtle interest and may "need further study."
