sometimes i just get mesmerized by the emptiness of the world. it’s just so void of emotion. i feel the unwavering silence every day. when i think ive lost my senses, but then i hear my breath, short and ragged, but unmistakably there. that's when i realize how white this world is. empty, of mercy, of depth. my breathing is proof of what this planet has become, more than just a feeling, it's the truth, because this world is marred. worse than just a disease, and every single one of us has the seed to it. hidden deep inside, with potential in each of us, it’s true, everyone. cuz there's this foreignness spreading inside me. i don't know how far it’ll grow, plaguing me. but i cannot escape this world, never will, never would. i know im a reckless hoper, wanting but knowing that there's never a way. still, beneath the silence, something keeps moving. my breath returns, uneven and unsure, but it returns. and maybe that is enough to keep going; not because the world has changed, but because i haven’t disappeared from it. yet i stray beyond the borders, the lines carved for me. not to leave, but to find where they end. i am not the only one still listening. perhaps there's always a way. somewhere, somehow, we’ll make it through. not out of this world. but in it, together.
