maine has mobilized around 20 thousand incredibly poorly armed and demoralized men to invade new england they have also brought in what little of their navy and airforce that actually is functional to begin bombing runs over boston there is absolutely zero chance for maine to win this war and no way for this to be a positive outcome there's a few reasons for this 1- the expansion of new england has been seen as a national security concern to maine and they have expressed their desire to integrate maine into the nation 2- they ripped new hampshire out of putty's hands and hes not happy 3- putty and higher command believe that if they can force a few military victories, new england will back off and the spirit of the mainian people will be bolstered
